Southend is lacking in quality hotels which i think is the problem, when i come back now i stay in the Park Inn which is a good standard although i believe is still only classed as 3 star, I have stayed in the Premier inn but now they offer the rooms for £19 you don't get a good night sleep when the yoof are shouting and screaming until the early hours and i haven't stayed in the Travelodge in Town but was due to until i read Tripadviser and canceled!!!. I do think there is a demand for a decent standard hotel, the ricoh seems like a good model

Ones facing the pitch will be. I'm sure that there'll be a lot of rooms in the hotel which will remain just rooms on match day.

Presumably the rooms with a view of the pitch will be cheaper than those with a view of the access road.

Smiffy the airport hotel will be a split 3 and 4*, with only a limited number of 4* accommodation. I was so impressed with the Ricoh that you could see FF being the same.

If Tara is responsible for the footballing matters and Ron purely for the stadium, then Tara must have known the tax man has not been paid and that players havent been paid and must have sanctioned that decision. A month ago he reported everything was fine despite the 100k loss per month........

Was there ever an expression of interest from a hotel chain? If so, who was it and when did they pull out? (Maybe because of all the delays other hotels have been or are being built in the town reducing the need for further capacity)

This will be the 2nd meeting that some of the zoners will have had with TB. It does make me laugh about honesty and openess as the first wasn't publicised until a direct question was asked and tonights meeting only got talked about because of events yesterday. The point of this is that everyone expects openess from the club but not even on here are we all kept in the loop from our own zoners.

I wasnt trying to be unfair - simply stating that everything involving the club is always shrouded in secrecy and I fully understand that - there are a huge amount of sensitive issues which could be detrimental to our club. What I am getting at is that everyone knocks the club when they dont give us information without considering why they may not be able to give the inforamtion - just like why the zone owners may not have wanted us to know the meetings were taking place.

The meeting tonight is for The Owners as you have correctly stated, The Trust,TravelZone,All At Sea and TBV..it is not exclusive to any one group it is a meeting that will be held once a month in future to keep all fans up to date with what is going on. I guess we could of said we have a meeting with TB on such and such a date but that is all we could of said as we do not know what is going to be said tonight.

As far as The Owners of The Zone are concerned, we will report back to members on the meeting as we did after the first one we had.
