Looking at Ipswich so far I think Paul Jewell's problem is rather more in the back four..... Don't see how buying midfielders will quite help that, still it's his job.

Anyway, after all these years I really can't be a***** to take any notice of all these rumours boards. Mostly fuelled by little boys trying to show they have the 'inside track' at a club when we know they're sitting in their bedrooms trying to think of something to do with their lives. :winking:

I'm afraid I believe transfer talk when I see a player signing a contract, anything else is pure conjecture. :whistling:

Paul Jewell has today said his three bids over the weekend is not both the Swindon duo and that one of his targets he has bid for is a teenager.

Could the teenager be Kane Ferdinand?

And without wishing to be accused of fishing, A few Ipswich supporting friends of mine tell me Kane's name has been mentioned along with that of Anthony Grant and both have been rumoured to be signing 3 year deals soon.

The third target, they tell me, is Paul Caddis.

This post won't probably go down too well but for the benefit of a discussion board I've posted it.

So it's not the Swindon duo? Yet Caddis plays for Swindon so it's in fact one of them? :dizzy:

Wasn't it reported that Jewell watched the Stevenage game last season?

Anyway, I'd rather keep Ferdinand. He may have had a dip in form recently but that is probably because he is young and in his full season and still learning. One for the future I think.

I hear Richard Cadette has been attracting the interest of Sheffield United...we may well lose him in the summer if we get a decent offer. If the Blades offer in the region of £130,000 it will be a done deal. You heard it here first.

I also hear from a reliable source that Stan Collymore is a target for Nottingham Forest...nothing official yet though, but watch this space.

I agree, he could be very useful next season and unless we definitely need to sell then I'd look to keep him and see how he gets on in L1 next season!

Cockle - Your Wrong regarding me. I don't pretend that I have " inside track" knowledge of any Club. Just thought I'd post what I was told by decent folk who happen to be Ipswich season ticket holders.

Canvey - I said ( if you can read that is ) that Paul Caddis was a target for Ipswich but not both he and Matt Ritchie.

Why the childish remarks? I posted in good faith after all. Not made it up. I was warned about certain members on here who haven't in them the tools to debate properly and is it any wonder we're despised elewhere when we turn on our own people. If I'm croticised for this then I sense a class war. Why I just don't know.

Could easily be Ferdinand I suppose but why all the talk about Grant ? He can't get into a league 2 starting XI so why would a championship club take a punt ? How would we feel if we signed a player 2 divisions lower than us who could barely make the bench?

Fair play mate, you did indeed, and my unreserved apology.

I'm not knocking you mate, but I'd say you have a bit to make up for in the credibilty stakes, "Paul Benson season ending illness" springs to mind. The same Paul Benson who scored the winner for Swindon in the FA Cup.

Class war? WTF? :stunned:

I actually fancied making this a topic but then thought otherwise.

Why is it whenever something posted isn't to the liking of certain individuals on here they are open to ridicule and in some cases grudges held against them for forever more?

There are things I don't agree with in all walks of life but I don't mock people for it. Maybe as I attempt to stand up for myself, albeit in writing, I'm a bigger target.

As I said previously is it any wonder we are disliked by fans of other teams when we resort to these tactics amongst our own people. I debate many times on other forums including those from West Ham and and Colcherster and am not treated in the way I'am on here. In fact nobody is mocked the way certain members are on here.

The fact I was warned about this before joining says it all. Sad. but why?

Grantys isnt getting game here so lets be honesyt can see Ipswich coming running in for him. Kane is a teenager that I am prepared to give you but he has hardly been a guaranteed starter with us.

Personally, If I was the sort to take umbrage at someone who points out my mistakes, I would steer clear of internet forums

Look Blue , no one has ridiculed you, you have had some mistakes pointed out and a bit of ribbing but thats it

I think the current phrase is Grow some !

To answer you I would suggest it's the way of Messageboards, football or otherwise. I would also say that everyone agreed with each others point of view there wouldn't be anything worthwhile to debate, instead there would be shed loads of green rep comments all saying agreed.

This board has always welcomed and tolerated posters from other clubs, on the proviso that they stay within the rules of course. Isn't it a point in football that most fans dislike other clubs in particular their closest rivals?

And class war? please explain.

Edit : Firestorm put it better than I did.

Be warned Kane and Granty. If I were either of you I'd either make the effort to do your best for us or look somewhere other than Ipshite.

Jewell will be sacked on 4 Feb. Before then they will lose away at Leeds and home to West Spam. On 4 Feb they have Coventry at home and by then they will be so low on confidence that even the Sky Blues will walk all over them. That will be the last nail in the Jewell coffin, most of the locals are already clamouring for his head (those that are left - attendance net of away support on Sat had already dropped to below 16k, half empty stadium not helping their quest much)

Having signed a bunch of old fossils and that having not worked Jewell is now bowing to pressure and signing anyone just out of nappies. Kane fits the bill more than Grant re that.

If either do sign for the Tractor mob then SUFC should put a clause in the contract which means they cannot play against us when we meet them in League One next season.

Spot on. Interesting as well that the sacking could come after the transfer window has closed ........ leaving any new signings wondering quite where their future lies ........... although I am sure the player's agent will not be focusing tooooooo much on this element .........
