I know we’ve been interested previously. Only scored 18 last season though. Matt Rush is also in the NLS and scored 20 in fewer appearances, including 9 in his last 7 games! So not sure he’s a splash the cash kind of striker. Maybe George Alexander?

Good question. I wouldn't have thought it is formally open - but I guess contracts could be signed but players not registered? I think prem league transfer window reopens mid June.

players sign pre-contract agreements all the time - remember under Sturrock we only had something like 4 players registered, but loads signed pre-contracts until they could be registered (Chris Barker, Mark Phillips, Craig Easton, Peter Gilbert etc. etc. )

If it’s him, then fits the Kev model, good age, coming to his peak, right background (Brighton academy), possible sell on value, smashing the league below.
I guess we won’t know for sure until 1st July..

From what I can see about Danny Cashman.
His contract has expired so would be a free transfer which is a positive sign.
With data and stats being all over the place I’ve tried to put some pieces together
24/25 - 20 goals (all comps), 11 assists (just league so could be more. But with those numbers that’s a goal contribution every 135 mins (1.5 games).
23/24 - same story with the stats. 15 goals (all comps) 5 assists (just league). Goal contribution every 162 mins (1.8 games) but worth noting he was overshadowed by Ollie Pearce.
Looks like he could be one of those really shrewd signings. Plus only being 24, (25 in Jan) he still has room for growth.

Cashman seems very versatile having played AM, LW, RW, CF and LM over the last couple of seasons. If transfermarkt is accurate most common position over current season AM.
If all this is correct would make his goal tally more impressive. And of course that flexibility would suit our 352 very well.

Hear mccallum is still keen to come to us. He certainly knows where the goal is but doesn't really fit with our culture of work rate in the high press which has certainly gained us success.
The dilemma will be the stats system will throw up players kev and the staff may not want and kev and the staff will come up with players the stats system can't support. Then it comes down to who actually has the say on transfers and the best use of a limited budget.
