Gillingham aren't interested in him.
It's just his agent trying to get us to up our offer.

Never mind what players are out of contract in the summer .Because I think if we don't get up this time around we may well be looking for a new manager .

Tomlin has had a great season and played a lot of games & scored 15? or so goals. I truly hope he stays where he is and gets to that magical "20 goals a season"
Out of interest how much realistically would be good business... £50k, 75k £100k??

Is this fact or your supposition ?
Think Scriv said this 6/8 weeks back on twitter when a similar story was on the Sky Sports site. However, they did get the Spillane one spot on.
Supposition, but it's pretty blatant.
You just need to ask yourself who benefits out of this alleged story becoming public knowledge. We're too many places behind Gillingham for them to be looking at us and thinking how can we unsettle one of their players, although that's entirely the type of thing their scabby manager and equally scabby chairman would do if we were closer. It doesn't aid Gillingham to alert potential suitors if they were genuinely interested, but they are the type of people who'd be compliant in playing along with agents' games.
Look at where it's leaked: not locally with the Echo or the Kent equivalent but by someone who's got national connections.
Look at the timing: just after Tomlin gets a winner and his perceived value amongst fans who can only see as far as his last appearance is at it's highest. Why not in recent weeks when he's been unable to hit a barndoor with a banjo? It's obviously to put pressure on the chairman/chief exec to get a deal done. As soon as his agent gets some leverage he tries to apply it.
I don't blame Tomlin, who I think entered professional football late, for trying to get his market value, but as much as I like him, he's a 29 year old who's had a 2 month hot patch. Let's not start paying him as if he's the second coming of Barry Corr sans the injuries. Lets get a deal done, but at an affordable price.
