My thinking was that announcements won't be made as they are still playing games.
No idea about contracts. Released players can sign for other clubs and be announced (see Pell going to Accrington). Could be that they are under contract or their contract is expiring and they've been offered another contract, but agreed to sign for us. If they aren't in the National League, then you've got to wonder why they would drop down from a league club. Ability, wages, and location are usually the main three reasons.
