We’re looking at under 23 strikers whilst Stockport get their cheque book out and sign Scott Quigley from Barrow a proven goal scorer at this level. Their intentions are clear for the coming season.

That’s true Murphy and Quigley both have 30 NL goals, Hyde 44 NL goals. Michael Cheek 99 NL goals. !!!!

There were a few games last season where they played together on the left side and looked very comfortable with Ralph at left mid. It could happen again maybe.

But both can play left midfield as well and if my memory serves me well, think they have both played at the same time and it worked well.

I would say you need 2 in case one gets injured, they both suffered injuries last season, they also then push each other for the positions as well. Only having one would be foolhardy in my opinion

Am I alone in thinking getting Hyde won’t happen? If it’s true that he is under contract at Halifax for another year, how are we going to persuade them to release him? Certainly can’t see us paying any money, unless something positive is happening behind the scenes that we don’t know about.
