They haven’t announced any released/retained list at all. Same as last season. Not sure what the secrecy is as the league and all member clubs will be fully aware.

Maybe they wanted to wait and announce a new contract instead. But agree timing is strange - guess with news on another thread, maybe season tickets going on sale so they want some good news on the player front.

We are in debate whether to renew @Yorkshire Blue's Moderator contract on The Zone. All seems fine for another 12 months, but @RHB has questioned that he might be to old now.

That’s because Gus is under contract. He can’t go anywhere without an acceptable bid from elsewhere.

I fully expect him to sign a new deal, not just this Club option, once the embargo is sorted.

It’s very difficult when you are restricted to what you can do- if you can’t negotiate/agree new contracts then by announcing some things you allow speculation on others. So the option becomes say nothing.

How the NL runs embargoes is an exemplar of how not to do it. We work within that framework.
