Where has the Freeman rumour come from? Is it genuine?

Always reminded me of a younger Ricky Holmes. Different though as i feel Freeman is very left footed IIRC, would suit a left side of a 3, not sure he has the legs for a wing back role anymore but that's only a guess and not knowledge.

I think it was someone’s wish list rather than any inside information but with Luton, Barnet and Gillingham on his CV it was only a matter of time before he was linked with us.

He made his first team debut alongside Mark Bentley (replacing Efe Sodje no less - Simon Royce was in goal - Sean Clohessy and Stuart Thurgood were also in the Gills squad that season). His first goal was on loan to Yeovil against Orient on his debut where he replaced Rob Kiernan. Nathan Jones, Jean-Paul Kalala were in the Yeovil side that day; Alex Revell scored for Orient. He was at Sheff Utd same time as Currie was coaching there. At Barnet he played with Ben Coker, Zak Brunt, Gary Hooper.

He probably feels like he’s already played for us.

Anyway he doesn’t appear to have played this season.
 
Is new guy holding out for either 14 or 10 shirts? Waldron is out of contract in the summer - wouldn't be a huge surprise if he left soon. Clearly not going to get much game time behind the current front 3 plus Hopper.

If Freeman has a left foot, get him in until the summer and Waldron out. Could do both by loans. It will stop our over reliance on Jack Bridge on the left.

I feel like he could do with a move to a team in NL with a full run like Sandat has at Wealdstone. Might come for him then.
