Do you know why we are not paying, or the sums involved ? To me there can only be three reasons
Ron doesn't think we owe it and is playing hard ball
We don't have any money to pay it
Ron doesn't think we owe it, but would pay it if we had any money.
To be honest in some respects this is worse than the tax bill. I understand that we didn't have have £2 million lying around. But this and not paying players on time seems to indicate that we are living hand to mouth. If we can pay for new loanees why can't we pay our own players- or is that the point ,money is so tight we are 'robbing Peter to pay Paul' ?

I don't know whether or not the rumour about not paying loanees is correct but what I do know is that there is something funny going on with regards the number of players we are allowed to field, hence the situation where Joyce can't be named in a matchday squad.
Of course this could all be cleared up with a statement from the club but that doesn't seem to be forthcoming so people are going to speculate...
