Transfer Embargo, Winding Up Petition & Staff Salary Issues

Sorry, but how on earth do you come to that conclusion?

Firstly, Ron was at the head of a queue of 1 to buy us when he did. It wasn't quite as 11th hour as when Vic saved the club, but if Ron hadn't bought it at that point (for a very low price - but that's what happens when you sell because you have to rather than because you want to) then no-one else would have done.

We would never have got promoted out of league 2 (twice), won league 1, had a season in the Championship, had 3 appearances in finals, won two lots of play-offs, beat Man Utd and got to the League cup quarter finals.

I know the last 4 seasons have been dreadful, but all of the above came under Ron's control and we would have been a very attractive proposition at that point I would have thought. So whilst he is public enemy no 1 at the moment, it wasn't always the case. In fact, in 2007, he was affectionately known as "Uncle Ron" and was very, very popular with the fans. Let's not pretend otherwise.

I agree that Ron had a good period of success during them years and was popular (yes even I liked him them). It's impossible to say what would of happened without him.

What we know now is he is untrustworthy scum who treats staff at the club like dirt and is a truly horrible man. The kind of person every parent wishes his kids not to be like.

We are the only ones who are constantly in the mire though....... clubs go through bad periods but not the same issues for 13 years like sufc. That's the problem I have.
Not the only problem Coventry have. The Stadium owners are expected to go into Administration tomorrow. Their home game scheduled for Tuesday will go ahead, but that may well be the last. They, according to reports are trying to find somewhere else to play their remaining games.

I don't know the full details what's going on at Coventry but does sound bit crazy..... shame to see a decent club who were once top division regulars having these issues today. Hopefully they will get new ownership who can take the club forward.

This is my fear for southend. If ron insists on owning the ground and with his track record will we end up looking for a new home?

To quote a politician and a song by the ex Pink Floyd lead singer : I had a dream ! yes i had a dream its true and in my dream i clearly saw tht :The Tide is Turning: for Southend United Football Club, Laugh you may but i shall sit back read all your match reports and enjoy your views. Im sure now that there are people with means who can see what is happening at our club and have taken a big interest. Yes this was my dream and dreams occassionally do come true. Now i will wait and see.

I'd quite like my kids to be Olympic athletes and successful businesspeople.
