Transfer Embargo, Winding Up Petition & Staff Salary Issues

Sorry but enough is enough. Time for action now.
So do you think you will get anywhere? Because I don't. He can't walk because he's about to get back all his money and more. He can't sell because no one can pay the amounts he wants, that include the pot of gold. We're not just talking of a football club, it's a football club with the Roots Hall and Fossetts Farm developments entwined.

the bit I really don’t get my head around is that we have over the past 3/4 seasons continually and we believe significantly cut costs….crowd levels have remained fairly consistent and our marketing / sponsorship seems much improved. How the hell do we still find ourselves not paying wages or the taxman continually. The only conclusion I can come to is that Ron is no longer supporting the club at levels that he previously was or perhaps even promised at the start of the season

I ****ing despair I really do.

It's like we are being steered by the captain of the titanic who can't see the iceberg even though every technical instrument is telling them there is something wrong and lookouts are phoning in to change course
....and if we did have any life rafts Ron would probably try to sneak on one first, pretending to be a woman.

My conclusion is Mr Martin is just a massive C*nt. Thing is, he knows we won't do anything to make him uncomfortable because we're the most gutless fan base that's ever existed.

The amount of fans who are more than happy to do nothing is disgusting in my opinion. They'll just say 'what can we do', bloody anything! Doing nothing is like letting your loved die slowly and not bother taking them to the hospital.

What have you personally done? And what will you do tomorrow?

Calling out undefined groups of people on the internet isn't achieving much either.

Same question to those calling out the Trust every time.

I'm feeling absolutely gutted and just when I genuinely thought we were turning the corner.......
Does Ron seriously think any Contractor is going to sign a contract to build his dream stadium with his reputation and what appears to have happened again today. The specialist contractor building the training ground pitches must be thinking "Christ" staff and Inland Revenue not being paid am I next? Watch this space.......
Mr Chairman if you really care for SUFC it's time to sell up, cut your losses and give someone else an opportunity to stabilise this football club as I personally think there will be a consortium out there in the big wide world who would be prepared to take us on and positively move us forward.

Ron Martin, lives by his own law and expects everyone else to accept this, the national league ain’t gonna take this much longer, wait for a points deduction coming our way if his not carefull.

Any 'Martin Out' protests are absolutely pointless, and an unwelcome distraction for the playing staff and players. He's not going anywhere. His pot of gold has never been so near. We just have to put up with this crap until all the development is done, and he retires to enjoy his riches.
As far as I'm aware he hardly attends matches these days so any protest will fall on deaf ears.

I'm sure it's not the first time they've dealt with a shady businessman.

I eagerly await Ron's statement telling us it wasn't his fault, it was an admin error or the very nice man at Lloyd's bank has told him the funds will be released shortly.

I've been to every protest, spoken to players, been on the radio, tried to get on zoom calls, made banners.

What the **** have you done over than ******* off the trust?

I tell you what, whether many will ever believe it or not, all of that did a lot to getting better staff in etc and for Ron to step back. Fat load of good it's done but at least some people have actually tried. I honestly cannot understand people who do nothing!

My immediate concern is the effect is has on the management and players.

Yes, they will be told to focus on what happens on the pitch, but you don't think they will be discussing the implications among themselves?
It's an unwelcome distraction, and WILL have an effect on their mindset.
If they think wages are about to go unpaid, then it's hard to imagine them sweating blood for a club that's about to shaft them.

As for action: what?
Seriously, what practical action will make a difference?
There are only so many bullets in the gun. Last season's pitch protests may have heralded change at the top, but for a man steeped in brinkmanship and court cases at top level, this is just one more day of tax avoidance.
Depressed...

I am a little disappoint that Stan wasn't the one to break the news. I'm sure there's a good reason why if he reads this, or maybe this journalist just beat him to the punch but transparency is one of his pillars...

Certainly worrying, but clearly Revenue is well down. Personally, I don't see what we have to sell. The Club have no assets other than a few players who would command a fee. Nobody in their right mind is going to take us on. Roots Hall is falling down and it would take millions to bring it up to standard.

I am just as concerned given the state of the Country's financial standing that a Stadium is even possible. Widely thought that the Property Market is about to collapse and for that reason alone I can sense another delay coming.

All a mess, but I reckon the break even figure on attendances would be nearer 8000 rather than what we are getting. Football Clubs are not immune to rising energy costs, so I can't see the situation getting any better in the short or even medium term. Debt is becoming even more costly to manage and we certainly have plenty of that.

I firmly believe that if the flow of cash from Ron dried up we would finished by Christmas if not sooner.

Sad that our club has become a total laughingstock amongst other club’s and supporters.
It’s like being on a monopoly board, every time we go around the board we land in jail.

Nobody in their right mind is going to take us on.
What about that guy that's been trying to buy the club for years and came out that Ron won't speak to him? Now I don't believe for a minute Ron will ever sell but I hate these 'who's going to buy us' posts when none of us have any idea whether someone would or wouldn't yet blindly hide behind this sentiment for some reason.

Calm down. I haven't done anything but I'm not sitting on here slagging off everybody else, so I was interested in what it is you think we are all meant to do.

I think most people are happy to be part of a solution but people cannot agree on one and calling everyone gutless isn't going to unite them.
