Transfer Embargo, Winding Up Petition & Staff Salary Issues

That looks like it just quotes the tweet we read, but I agree this is very worrying. Chris has form for quoting SZ or Twitter erroneously so it might be a bit soon to say it’s legit, but it’s looking very bad indeed. I wouldn’t be surprised if it’s true, but then again lord knows where that would leave Tom Lawrence.

I’m looking at the PG Site Services @pgsiteservices Twitter feed and there is no sign of this Tweet there. That’s all I’m saying but I might be missing something?

I just can't get my head around this POV. There's no fight. Nobody is saying don't support the team, but how can we sit on our hands and do nothing? When is enough, enough? How can anyone possibly put up with this vicious cycle of **** for another 3 years, if he clings on until the stadium build is complete?

I'm with @TrueBlue. The Trust needs to be leading from the front here and discussing cutting ties with him until he at the very least publicly lays out his exit route and timetable.
Everybody is being encouraged to protest. Except Southend United fans.

You’d think a guy of his age would simply just want a simple life now. Must do well enough to live where he lives. Just let someone else take over, do the right damn thing! You’d want to cement a good legacy and standing rather than be filthy rich at an old age surely. Guess money matters more to some people unfortunately.

I know Tom is a fan too, but we've all got our limits. It can't look good for him professionally to be associated with us. He'll end up like Saul Goodman!
I would read carefully what Stan says and suggest the same would apply to Tom..,

Barring a benevolent fan winning the lottery no one will buy us. 99% of owners are businessmen, most are either in it for the ego boost of saying they own a football club, or looking at it as a case cow to make money out of. With lower league clubs that isn't from TV money or player sales it's about landbased assets, of which Ronaldo has us by the balls, he owns the assets and he won't part with that without a massive payoff that would make little business sense to anyone with money.

Tom was made NON EXEC Director of PG Site Services after the sponsorship deal was agreed. This was agreed pre Christmas into Kevs unbeaten run.

I would hinder a guess his role as a NON EXEC Director relates to his qualification and skill set as a lawyer.

Tom is a great CEO.
He knows the company well and worked with them at gillingham

I would like to hear from our side of events, because I'm struggling to see how you can dishonestly gain a sponsorship, but this is SUFC, I'm not ruling anything out.

But who will tell us or will we get communication? No.

My only guess is he is in debt upto his eyeballs and if the stadium and this deal doesn’t come through he is ruined. Along with his big house and fancy car!

Can’t see any other reason for him putting the club and himself through all this! It’s make or break for him.

This club is an absolute joke and rotten from the inside out! The only good thing about it is the players on the pitch at the moment, and who knows how long that'll last if they dont get paid on time or think their job is at risk!

But hey, lets just sit back and pretend none of this is happening and everything is rosy because some dirt is being laid for new training pitches, no changing facilities to go with them... just a few pitches!

Time for this fanbase to grow a backbone and actually do something before our club is gone for good.

I suggest probably that won’t prevent a parting of the ways- especially when they regrettably get the bill for all the replacement shirts without the much hated logos. I fear wriggling out of the sponsorship may prove a little more difficult than they hope. Nonetheless very poor PR all round…
