Transfer Embargo, Winding Up Petition & Staff Salary Issues

Do you really think Ron isn’t already aware of our feelings? Or are you expecting him to undergo some Damascene transition once he realises fans are fed up with this?

If you want to bring about change think what is the end goal and then what steps will get us closer to the end goal. Any protests need to have defined, achievable goals. I’d suggest here the main goal is probably to pressure Ron into revealing his exit plan. We can then start to try and accelerate that plan - be it find a buyer or transfer it to the Trust etc. But first get him thinking of how he wants to exit then we work on bringing it forward.
Having had time to calm down a bit, this is exactly what I think we have to aim for.

It is fantasy land to think he is going to sell up now. He's got tens of millions of pounds coming his way in the short to medium term. Boycotts and protests won't work. A few thousand quid and a few protests is nothing to Ron when he has an eight-figure windfall just over the horizon. We have no power. The trust has no power. Even the board has no power. Ron owns the club lock stock and barrel.

I've always said Ron is in this for two reasons - the first is obviously his big housing pay day from the sale of the land at Roots Hall, but the second is his ego. He wants to be seen as the man who saved the club by building the new stadium and he wants to be labelled a hero.

That will never happen now, stadium or not. His legacy will be a future of non league football for us our children and possibly grandchildren. However, he has quite a low opinion of fans, he sees us as idiotic peasants, a few wins and he'll be back in favour again.

I suppose we have to make it clear that, assuming the new stadium ever happens, we won't be patting him on the back and thanking him, we will not be happy until he has left the club. He's not getting any younger, he might well think well 1 out of 2 outcomes is ok, let's call it a day and enjoy the money.

Pushing him to commit to an exit plan is probably the best we can do. And getting ready, by that meaning that if there are willing purchasers, identifying them in good time and putting our case for at least some fan representation on the board and a plan that ensures that never again can this great club be fully owned by a ratty little shyster who just sees us as his pension.

Ppl saying we don't need players but we won't have Dackers now. Probably our best striker
We talk about our support is bigger than x amount of football league teams but the way we are run is the standard of non league so that's why we are there and why we deserve to be there. Isn't it about 5 years where we started having more embargos? Macclesfield who were national league struggled so why are we not at that level?
We might get points deduction or refused national league licence for next season but we should carry on with the full support and get us back to the football league at some point in a few years.

Perhaps they were made assurances that their brand would not be put in a position where it is associated with a club that doesn't pay its employees or its taxes on time.

Not sure why anyone would make those assurances though tbf, not as if we haven't got form.
Possibly. But, yes they must of known our dodgy history.
Cynic in me, thinks they might think they can get more publicity from withdrawing sponsorship, than having it on the shirts.

Anyone know what this actually means? "Financial Dishonesty" sounds pretty vague. No doubt RM has ****ed up somewhere down the line but this reads to me like they're trying to wriggle out of the deal.

Since you seem to be grouping me in that post since I have called out the trust, I don’t think I really need to be listing everything I have done and those around me over the last couple of years.

Had myself or others tried **** all and just procrastinated from behind a keyboard you would have a point mate
Nah it's clear what you do and have done, and from a position of leadership. Certainly isn't aimed at you.
