Transfer Embargo, Winding Up Petition & Staff Salary Issues

I do understand not protesting in the stadium as it could affect the players on the pitch... but when is deemed acceptable? RM needs to know our feelings... this has happened time and time again, and will continue to.

As a fanbase we've been patient enough. We need to do whatever we can to be heard. It should be quite clear as to who our protests are aimed at - and I would have thought the players would understand that, and most likely be supportive of it.

When you have people not being paid their modest wages for doing a good job throughout the bad times, personally I value their feelings above those of the players and management (who I'm led to believe have been paid on time). We owe it to those people to stand up for them... surely?

Do you really think Ron isn’t already aware of our feelings? Or are you expecting him to undergo some Damascene transition once he realises fans are fed up with this?

If you want to bring about change think what is the end goal and then what steps will get us closer to the end goal. Any protests need to have defined, achievable goals. I’d suggest here the main goal is probably to pressure Ron into revealing his exit plan. We can then start to try and accelerate that plan - be it find a buyer or transfer it to the Trust etc. But first get him thinking of how he wants to exit then we work on bringing it forward.

So can somebody point me towards the focal point that I need to listen to which will tell me the way forward because at the moment that spark is missing.

Every club in this league and most clubs in the efl are in the same boat as us! Ron gets singled out as his reputation proceeds him. This isnt even worth this discussion as ron always pays the tax eventually and we go again.
I assume this post is a wind up? (Excuse the pun) because I’m struggling to think of another club with a history with the HMRC like we have

And you’re exactly the type of fan Ron loves, just sit back and do **** all and watch him destroy the club without a fight. No other clubs fan would put up with this amount of mismanagement but yet some of our fans are happy not to fight for the club. A lot of fans will look back soon and wish they had done much more to force him out, mark my words on this
Lol. I've done my share of protesting against certain Chairman. You're not taking into account that you can't force him out. You can protest until the cows come home. He's going nowhere until he gets his development money. The last protests they stopped the traffic in Victoria Avenue. They invaded the pitch with a banner. Some verbally abused him to his face at away games. Some threatened him. A previous protest years ago had fans turning up at his house, arguing with his wife. He's still here. There's Millions of pounds at stake for him, if there wasn't, he would have gone ages ago.

But Mr Martin is the number one serial offender. Top of the HMRC & Customs & Excise hit list. The creep needs to go and go now and that is over 22 years too late

We are certainly not the only Club with severe financial difficulties. Football Clubs aren't immune from inflation, they won't be immune from rising energy costs either. I just hope ALL Clubs somehow get through the season.

We know Ron is going nowhere, if he did that wouldn't help us at this moment in time. If he walked tomorrow, we wouldn't survive beyond the next time wages are due.

Your probably right..... but that does leave the club and its fanbase in a sad desperate state. Fans will start to drift away which will be harmful for the club long term. I'll be honest here iv stopped going myself due to not seeing change at the top and I'm sure others will follow in the future. Personally I think Southend united are ****ed with no way out other than to start again. I know it's unpopular decision to start a new club but can it be that bad though..... has to be better than where we are at now. We are currently relying on bent owner to build new stadium. Doesn't sound very good to me.
Im not sure the two are related tbh, if we were romping the league playing samba football our gates would be high regardless of rons crap.
