But what use is that to us? It's now common knowledge we need the money, it would be stupid to let Hall join Pererborough on loan with a fee agreed for January, we need the money now! And if we don't get the money now then surely Hall will be much more use to us in our side til January when we can sell him. If we let him go on loan with no fee until January it's a lose-lose situation for the club......

Loan fee?

If the offer is good enough then I'm sure we'll sell outside the window.

btw does the League have an earlier deadline like in previous years or is it all the way to midnight?

On a serious note , did see both players mentioned in the cup game earlier in the season, Hall looked good but cant remember Ferdinand looking particularly impressive, how would you guys rate him please ?

Ferdinand will be good- certainly to play at Championship level in a year or two. One for the future.
Halls the better player- real talent and fantastic left foot. But by the sound of it too expensive for you- which is fantastic for us as we need to get out of L2

Lets hope you dont come back with an offer of 500k plus add ons because I suspect that would do it..

I wouldn't hold your breath if I was you............really a need to start a new thread on something that can be covered in the transfer deadline thread. Sorry, I see that it's your first post...........don't want to discourage you! :winking: WELCOME!!!

Surely if Donnelly was line-up as Ferdinand's replacement he would virtually have signed on the dotted line soon after Ferdinand's exit was confirmed. Donnelly has been in and around the place for about a month so surely much of the talking and what he'd potentially be offered would have been discussed many a time. Best wishes to Kane though.

You should then be aware that transfer deadline day often turns rapidly from excitement and expectation to boredem and disappointment..........as an experienced supporter, you will already know that!

I have heard rumour here at Swindon that Luke Rooney could be joinung Southend on 6 month loan. There was also rumour that Benson could join you, however, that one has been more quiet. Fingers crossed for you, 2 very classy players

Benson yeah I'd take him, dont know enough about Rooney, he not getting much game time now?

I just thought Blues would have wrapped up signing of Donnelly soon to get that over and done with. Benson and Rooney would be great additions but in the last 2 hours CP tweeted our chances of landing anyone were not high. Benson and Rooney are biggish names for L2 so would have thought we'd known a bit more about them coming here possibly and that CP would have given subtle hints something was in the pipeline. Of course Blues are maybe keeping everything very close to their chest.

I thought Swindon only signed Rooney today ?? with Paul Caddis moving the other way to Birmingham

And Benson is out of our price range i think as Swindon took him on at £3.5k a week (despite some of their fans claiming their budget was no bigger than ours :liar: )

Thats about 79 times you've said something similar to that Blue

He's not really featured this season, cannot see him doing so in the near future with the arrival of 5 new players today. He's already fallen down the picking order.

Benson has a lot of competition but is a fantastic player, Southend could do really well with him, he's a great all rounder, hard working player.
