no doubt about it ferdinand will be a better player playing in the championship as it will suit his game better and be with better quality players, would expect him to move on from peterborough within two years as well, goodluck to him.

Perfect summing up for me, lets just hope we get that % sell on rubber stamped in the contract, Gillingham picked up close to £1m this week after Jarvis went to the Spammers, a nice little bonus for them at this stage of the season

Good business, if Ferdy does go we are certain to get money for him. Glad to see Hall bid rejected, would be really really gutted if Ryan left. Shame if ferdy goes but won't be too gutted.

We didnt reject Hall's offer because we wont sell, just because price wasnt right.

If we deny hall a move now , what sort of performances will he put in? Also he will walk away on a free at the end of the season.

Again I've never bought into this, if Hall wants to enhance his reputation and gain a move then he should be giving everything to the cause. Anything other shows a poor attitude that could well put off potential buyers.

How is the tripod going to work without Dickinson and Ferdinand ??

Morecambe Mary will not be pleased !!!!

Well if he doesn't leave then he'll have to put up with it and get his head down, he won't be able to leave again until January. I imagine we'll see him knuckle down and work hard in the hope of attracting more interest and maybe from bigger clubs than Peterborough. It'd good for both parties if he stayed and did well between now and January as we should, in theory, get a bigger transfer fee.

Totally agree.
Hall is possibly our biggest saleable asset , so if he doesn't move today , he should knuckle down ( good cliche ) so that he can attract decent clubs and we can get a decent fee.
Without knowing what's happening behind the scenes ( another cliche ! ) , I think Sturrock has down well to turn down a low bid for him.
He must be under pressure to get some cash in , but Hall was top of the assist list and top scorer , so probably worth more than Peterborough are offering IMO

If they want him and we can agree a fee then they can sign him on loan and complete the deal when the window reopens if it doesn't get pushed through tonight. Peterborough did the same thing when they signed Tyrone Barnett last season.

Because you're saying he goes AWOL on his 'other' CM duties which is complete bollocks. He's disciplined and does the donkey work in midfield which allowed his CM partner (Timlin or Grant mainly) to be more expressive and mobile. I'm not on your case.

This.
I've no idea what system Peterborough play, but if it's the quasi-451 that everyone seems to love, then I'd imagine he'd relish playing ahead of McCann and Frecklington in a three-man midfield.

There you go, old boys' network, all the cool kids hang together! Seems more people agree with my view or even feel more inclined to feel that he goes awol or lacks creativity! You aren't always right you know, neither of you!

I know Paynter was crap but tbh they've been worse.

Funny just checked out his stats for SUFC - 6 starts, 5 subs, 596 mins, 1 goal only on losing team 4 times. They've been worse
