Top five Blues goals ever.

Are you one of the 24,750 Shrimpers who was at Gigg Lane that day, then...?

:thump:

Benji's goal remains, probably, the single most important our club has ever scored. But I didn't see it, so I can't put it in my Top 5.

Matt

As it happens Matthew i did have the pleasure :finger:

On that occasion though i didnt have any trouble with the British Transport Police :p

uum John Cornwell against Preston North End I think, fuc yer Peter Johnston V Col U, that was something special, I was trying to think if Richard Cadett scored any wonder goals?? David Crown must have got some screamers, and agreed all of Stans were pretty special I seem to remember

umm i should have added this

watch

Did you sit next to Gary Poole then? :(

Yep, his face fell when I said I recognised him & said I was a Shrimper.
He was travelling up to see Steve Guppy.

We had a good chat though & he said we would have been right in the mix to get promoted if Fry hadn't done a runner. Derby away is one of his proudest moments as a player! Hinted it was Stein who was mainly behind the Brum move, plus Jobbo didn't want the hassle of paying Premiership wages/bonuses!

mccormacks against PNE was one of the best volleys ive ever seen... freddy against hartlepool was one of the most unbelievable pieces of skill ever

Peter Johnson at Col ewe is def the favourite goal i've seen.

Have to agree. He must have beat about 7 players plus the ref and linesman before planting that 45 yarder in the roof of the net. Great goal. And I was shouting at him to get rid of it. Am I right in thinking we were a goal down at the time to a goal from the magnificently named Winston White?

IIRC we were losing until that goal, and then king Richard decided we weren't going to lose.

gotta be maccas against preston. that was one of the best goals i have ever seen. also damon searls goal against rushden, that was a beauty. he hit that from almost the half way line.
