So if he is respected by his peers , ( didnt he come third in the players player award?) why wouldnt he make a good captain

Bob Moore wasnt a shouter, went calmly about his business , but had that determination to succeed, White is in that category... We don´t see him behind scenes... and what he does elsewhere for the club....

2nd I think. White's influence off the pitch is probably greater than he's given credit for, it's not just about the on pitch side of things.

Anyway, Timlin signing is the best news to do with the football club since Bentley's final penalty save at Wembley. Absolutely delighted by this.

This is good news   and a tonic to all the doom-mongers who were telling us that Tims would be a Millwall player very soon. :dim:

I was interested to read Tims comment that ...............

“ I'm working really well with Phil Brown – he seems to bring out the best in me."

In some games (e.g. Stevenage away) Brown brought Tims off when to the fans Tims looked like the best midfielder we had on the pitch. And that wasn't the only occasion when Tims ended a game early to the surprise of all but the management team.

And then Tims ends the season really well with 3 fabulous performances and shows exactly what he can do.

Excellent news a good solid player who will create things next season. Also we dint want to look like a club who are letting their best players go and with Bentley and Timlin staying it will only attract better ones I'd say.

Terrific news.

Been a huge fan of his since the start of his loan spell with us, and delighted he will continue at the Club. Surprised we let it get to this stage, but least it's done and dusted.

Always new he would stay loves the club and the fans it just shows there's a few that don't just go anywhere for money top man Timlin

Great news, just need Thompson to sign a contract extension and then that's great work by Brown.

Great stuff... A midfield of timlin Lenny Wordsworth (if it happens) and worrall makes me think we just might do something special next season.

I just read the Echo and it's interesting what he says about the club and town. The (town) also plays a big part when attracting quality players and to be fair, the borough of Southend is seen as a trendy, nice place to live these days what with the developments and dare I say it, the investment the council has put into it.

What an absolute legend! I think he just became my new man crush.
