Totally outplayed em' first half , 1 nil up and what does our negative manager instruct to the players, defend your lead for 45 mins. Radio interview afterwards and he is so happy with 1 point and keeps saying well it was Nottingham Forest and we are down to the bare bones. We totally took the foot off the gas in the second half. Two points dropped!

Have to disagree on that one Wiggy. Forest came out from 2nd half a different side..
We are sitting nicely in 6th and key players to come back

Not sure he has been employed for his interview skills to be honest and its much better to go to the game where possible and judge for yourself..

You've really got it in for our manager haven't you? Couldn't give two hoots how he conducts his radio interviews, I'm more concerned how he gets results on the pitch. Frustrating not to win tonight, but a good point hard earned I feel.

Tyson made a massive difference for them.

Grant should've been on for Black sooner. He should've been given the job of nullyfying his threat a bit.

It was very similar to McKenzie for Coventry last season. We let him give us the run around and did jack about trying to sort it.

We didn't change our approach at half time - Forest did. They went 4-4-2 and we struggled to get to grips with the change giving Tyson in particular the sort of space that you can't give to players of that ability.

I don't think Tilly told the players to sit back and defend the lead. If anything the impression I get on watching this Southend side is that Tilly gives them very little in the way of tactical instructions. He trusts his players to play the game as they see fit. Sometimes that leads to the sort of slick, off-the-cuff football that we saw in the first half but sometimes we see what happened in the second half. When a team is under pressure their natural response is to drop back and to then play the ball long, both of which we started to do in the first twenty minutes of the second half and I think we do both of those things more than most.

But i think everyone knows Tilly is crap at interviews and has been for sometime. A point tonight. Could of won it but we didnt lose and are still in a good position.

And the speakers were working in the west, what more could you want....

Not at all, all over them till some magic negative words from Tilson. They were nothing, but to listen to Tilson you would have thought it was the European cup winners we were playing. To get that 1st goal and then sit back just about sums up his management skills, the only reaction i want is a positive one from our manager when we are in pole position!

Cant just blame our approach. NF made a couple of impact subs at the break, which changed the game. Tyson made a huge difference

The only nervy is by the dugout, arms folded. Once we conceded there was only one team in it again, us!
