Tilson targets new left back

Maybe he won't want to move up north.
Be great if we could get him in, he was quality for Brighton at our current level (and proved he can cope with CCC standard too, although I fear we're a fair distance from getting back there currently!)

Very tidy player - I've given up hope of signing anyone decent (or actually ANYONE), so would get any hopes up chaps :(

Still, <rose tinted>EVERYTHING IS GREAT, DONT WORRY!!!!!</rose tinted>

I just wonder whether this is a self-perpetuating story, my Ipswich mate whose comments I posted yesterday contacted the editor of TWTD (it was he who said about Preston) I wonder whether he has taken what my mate told him from a Southend fan and made it into a story...

That's exactly what I was thinking. They've put this on their site purely because of your question methinks.........

Confirmed on the OS that T&B were in fact watching a Premiership side last night...

Now unless they flew up to the North East I think you will agree it is most likely they were at Havant watching Pompey.

Pompeys left back last night was a certain Marc Wilson

:)

Pompey weren't a Pompey XI though, it was pretty much a first team game. Or am I getting my hopes up that Dave forgot Ipswich aren't a Prem team anymore!? ;)

Marc Wilson isn't a natural left back though. He's more of a utility player. I'd rather Lewis Emanuel to be honest.

Always wonder how players can be classed as a utility player. Surely he must have a preferred position.

It was a strong team but they put their first team out at Oxford the night before... surely this is where T& B popped up but was this the player?!

Wilson was subbed at half-time for Richard Duffy

Another utility man ;)

Stop being difficult, Dave. ;)

Ok, well Wilson is more of a midfielder who can sometimes play in defence, as shown by his loan spells at Bournemouth, Yeovil and Luton.
