Tilson targets new left back

didn't realise Harding was out of favour, i just looked at his previous transfer fees and assumed he'd be out of our reach!

If they're watching this guy tonight, and hope to sign him up tomorrow it does sound like a loan deal rather than a permenant move. Wouldn't mind getting any of the 3 named players (Jones, Harding, Parkes).

Harding is a very good player! - probally more of a natural left back than Jones - Harding would be great signing but hes probally out of our reach

Harding is a good call - he's on the transfer list and out of favour according to these articles:

http://www.eadt.co.uk/content/eadt/...ry=zSport&itemid=IPED01 Aug 2008 15:32:33:150

http://www.eveningstar.co.uk/conten...ory=sport&itemid=IPED01 Aug 2008 15:45:58:167

He wasn't one of the 17 players that Magilton used against Wet Sham last night, is 6ft tall, relatively local and highly rated by Peter Taylor.

Watch this space...

Well that's it then, it's got to be him, you know what suckers we are for Spud's recommendations!

One thing i would question is that, assuming we were interested in Harding, he doesn't seem to have much of a reputation as an attacking full-back. that would seem odd, as our attempts at varying the formation rely on the full-backs getting forward more, so you'd expect us to look for someone in that mould.

that said, there's only 4 days til the season starts so..

News from my Ipswich mate:

Hello,

Dan Harding was Magic's first signing .. He's hardly featured at all pre-season (Personal problems apparently), and has had a falling out with Magic so hardly played last season either.

Good left-back badly let down by the non-defending left midfielders in our side! Decent shot on him.

Billy Clarke would be another good signing for you ...

Clapham is training with us at the moment, and frankly you're better off without him - he hates tackling! We're looking to get Ben Thatcher in ...

I'll drop a message to the ITFC forum admin, and see if he knows anything ...

Right ... according to the TWTD admin - Dan Harding could be heading to Preston. Our old keeper coach is there now, and him and Harding were good mates and he's recommended Harding to fill the vacant left-back slot there..

Can't see it happening this week as we play Preston on Saturday!

... although the Inverurie Loco Works left back could be a bit hot!

Might be a daft an Idea as it first seems ...One of the CM's for Peterbro' last night was Paul Coutts who was playing for Cove, the Highland League Champions, last year. Posh signed him in the summer.
He may well start against us on Saturday

We could try to tempt Ian Harte. A very good left back & the scorer of some stunning free-kicks!

We can dream that RM might part with some cash to tempt a decent player or two!

I thought that Tilly's address was common knowledge. You mean to tell me that no attempted to get a scoop by following him, or at least, getting a tracer on his car?
Disappointing!...............what's that for dedication!

sorry......I thought that Tilly's address was common knowledge. You mean to tell me that no one attempted to get a scoop by following him, or at least, getting a tracer on his car? Disappointing!.....................what's that for dedication!

Dan Harding is indeed playing for Ipswich tonight, as is Jordan Parkes for Watford.
