Tilson really has not got a clue!

Karl is a lot better player than you boys give him credit for.

As a captain I have to say he was fantastic today, rather like Kev Maher is normally. I think it would be unfair to compare the two on today's performance though, given the apparent difference in quality between the two sides. Maher's team was on the receiving end of a 3-0 massacre whereas Duguid was captain of a team that was basically rampant today.

Duguid did behave himself impeccably though.

Oh...and Chris, I echo the sentiments of others on this board. It is so refereshing to have an unbiased objective view of the game from an opposing fan. Thoroughly appreciated, and Col U got everything they deserved today...your lads clearly wanted it, and we, well....need I say more!

Just to quickly add my two penno'rth. Felt the early goal set the tempo for the game.

After last week's game at Hull, it seemed like there were a few nerves and that goal didn't help that, with some uncharacteristic mistakes afterwards.

Jamie has been class for us all season and you would put good money on him in a one on one in the box.

I still think you will get away from it - there are many twists and turns yet.

i was sitting right at the front of the west today and the duguid baiting was pretty tiresome.. definitely needed focus on cheering on southend then just going "duguid is a w*nker" all afternoon. but in the end there was nothing to cheer about!

the funniest moment was when Barker came over to get the ball out of the stand and was right in front of me. This little chavvy kid next to me who must have only be 9 goes "Barker Barker Barker"....

the player looks down at him, and this little kid looks straight into his eyes and goes "you're a c8nt!!".... Barker ****ed himself laughing and to be fair it was so so funny!

Lol I was in the front of the West too and have to say it cheered me up a bit, that was hilarious! I bet his Dad gave him a thick ear when he got home....... :hilarious:

The most deppresing things for me this afternoon was the evaporation of our team spirit. The sight of Maher and Sodje having an argument, Gower completly losing the plot and kicking out at anything that moved in the last five minutes and Tillys attempt at an explaination of this shambles on Essex radio. If he no longer beleives we will stay up then what chance the players do either. And where was the appology to the supporters who paid hard earned money to watch this garbage... you guys who travel the length of the country to cheer on this every other week should be given medals.

Bradbury along with Clarke are the only 2 to come out that with any credit whatsoever. Freddy had a good first half but couldn't sustain his one man band in the second.

Yes, at least Bradbury tried hard but he huffed and puffed but, as usual, never looked likely to score in this division. Neither did our entire team, mind you :(

Thanks SH Its good to come on here and have a laugh, and also have a serious chat about our clubs in general, there is no need for all the agro.
I am sure most of us with any sense know we are both punching above our respective weights at present. The big problem for you lot is that you have probably come up a little too quickly, and probably needed a season or two more in the league one to build up the experienced squad required for the Championship.
Although our squad cost next to nothing many of them have played Championship football before, it would seem most of your lads have played at the lower levels.

But there is no excuse for the lack of desire we showed today!

I was impressed when Ian Holloway, came out in the press after Plymouth got a mauling last week, if my boss came out and slated me and my colleagues like that so publicly I reckon it would have the desired effect.
Not sure why Tilly never comes out with a public rocket that really puts the players in doubt that these sort of performances will not be tolerated. Instead all we get is “A bad day at the office” and “The first goal killed us”.
C’mon, someone at the club have the balls to give them both barrels.

There was no apology after the Hull game last week which was much worse, so why would he apologise after a much improved performance against Colchester:eek:

Leaves out JCR and Francis today, not worldbeaters but at least they attack when you need a win. Makes his earliest ever sub, brings on JCR for another attacking option even though being played out of position Foran. Takes off his inspired starting selection Hammel for The Prince, does he actually know which direction to take the team now? Another inspiring, like i say after match interview saying that the first goal < 2 mins in to the match> knocked the stuffing out of us, pathetic!

didn't go to the game, was working :@! yes we were cr*p! but here we go again...slating tilson...after all his done for us...in all honesty, promotion last year was a year to early...! im not trying to find excuses...its just we dont have the rescources (and yes col u r like us 2- they don't have the rescources) but just get behind the team!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Tilly has done brilliant to get us here should be knighted. but he has made some huge errors this season- Bradders, Guttridge, Leeds game, JCR on the bench today to name a few, sorry the guys a legend but that doesn't mean he can do no wrong.

He sounds like a muppet on the radio. You can hear the wheels turning in his brain trying to think what to say. Stop making excuses Tilly and grow a spine!
You are the manager of a totally unmotivated team. Put some fcks into them.
