I questioned Foran's signing when it was made, pointing out at the time that if he wasnt good enough for a Carlilse side at the time locked in a battle to stay in the football league, how was he going to be good enough for us now? I simply didnt understand that at the time, and as someone pointed out, how he has not been barracked and yet Paynter was given hell is beyond me, at least Paynter tried!! Having said that, Tilly bought him here as a forward, and that is the one position he hasnt played in yet - Un-fkn-real!! Bradbury, as hard as he tried, is never ever going to be good enough at this level, he is too slow, he is ineffective in front of goal and has no place in the team, and yet Tilly will not try Foran in that position, or even bring Paynter back? That is extremely twisted logic!
I wont, however, accept the point made about Lewis Hunt. That guy has been asked to play at every position across the back four this season and has let no one down. No, he isnt spectacular, but he is a million head and shoulders above Simon Francis, who I can count on one hand the amount of half decent games he has had for us. Francis is a terrible right back, that was showed at Hull last week, and has been showed time and time again.
As for Tilson, well to drop JCR is just incomprehensible, completely and utterly. To then make that decision worse by picking a left sided midfielder/striker to play in his position is just criminal. That as much as anything destroyed us today as there was zero shape to the team and absolutely no attack came through the right side in the first half.
Tilson's body language screams of a man who has given up, well if that is the case, its no wonder the players have - either way, there is no place for either him or them at this club if they have.
