when i met hammell at the end of last season he didn't sound particularly up for this season in league1 and so i suppose it's no surprise.. especially if there has been interest from other clubs. i still think we have never quite seen the best from him which is my main disappointment
 
well the bloke is an idiot then...he joined a team that were favourites for relegation last season....if he didn't want to play in league 1 then he should have held out / touted himself around clubs that were more likely to stay in that division....we need committed players this year not ones who are pining to get away

surely hammell shouldn't be going around saying he wished he never came to southend. some over fans might react very bad to this being said to them by a player.

I am really upset that Hammell would say this to be honest. Always seemed like a quality bloke. The fact he may not be keen on Brushy does not bother me, as has been said I think we are all of the understanding that Brushy is the "bad cop", which is needed. But if Hammell said he regrets comming here, that really upsets me, especially as he is my favourite player :(

On the plus side - I asked Macca was he going anywhere in Jan, and he said no, and that he is very happy where he is :)

The prospect of Che Wilson at Left Back terrifies me.

I'm still shocked people are finding it hard to believe that Brush is not well liked. He's a hard-ar*e and was so at Orient where it all went wrong for him, you need someone like that in the set-up or you'll have players walking all over you, like Mr Eastwood did towards the end of last season and Mr. Gilbert seems to be doing this season.

If Hammell goes in Jan, we'll get the best part of 500k for him and we can focus on improving what needs to be done. But would I ship him out needlessly? No, his presence as an attacking minded full back is desperately needed and he's a threat from set pieces... If Crossley wasn't at full stretched Hammell would've been lauded on this board yesterday and today.

If Hammell goes and Maher's left taking set pieces we better invest in some form of meshing, or the South Stand Upper is going to take a battering.
 
Said player was also shocked that recent transfer speculation about him was widely known about thanks to the internet. He seemed surprised so many people knew of the story.
 
If you sat in the ground where I sat you wouldn't be at all surprised about a player not being a fan of Brush. They treat him with utter disrespect when he gives them orders during games.

Is a main reason why I don't like Tilson's nicey nicey I'm a friend of the players act. He needs to be more of a hard **** because IMHO the players walk all over the management when they want to.
