The Wimbledon Thread

Probably a better game for Murray. I had a feeling after a couple of matches this year that Hewitt was gonna go far so I'm pleased to be wrong

GET OVER IT!

:p

OK, so he said some daft things as a kid. Show me a kid who hasn't said something a bit daft.

Personally, I think he has grown into himself fantastically well and looks like the first Brit for about 70 years actually capable of winning a Slam. I find it utterly bizarre that people prefer not to celebrate that, but instead wallow in their own fit of pique about some stupid things he may have said in jest when he was 19.

Move on, please, for heaven's sake!

Indeed. Not only has he matured as a person, he's matured as a player. He's gone from looking like a boy playing a man's game, to looking like a man playing a boy's game.

I've just seen the stat that Federer has now reached 21 consecutive grand slam semi finals. That is quite an incredible record for both his ability, fitness & longevity.

Having been away i've seen hardly any of the tennis but thought the Serena match today was a spectacular match and IMO i cant see that being beaten again this year in terms of how close a match just may be.

one of the best women's matches i've seen for ages. Probably shows how ***** women's tennis is!

Immediate break by Murray in the 2nd set, looks a completely different player

Murray crashes out after losing the 4th set tie-break. Roddick was immense
