The Student Thread

I had a very productive week last week attenting a grand total of one lecture, missed my monday ones as I was cutting my workcount down in an essay that had to be due in. Don't really have an excuse for the rest of the week, just lazyness I guess. Hopefully I'll do better next week.

Yeah but your only a first year though.

After September things will change!! No more dressing up as a woman to hit the town in for you :p

to kick things off... I'm currently doing a masters at LSE (london school of economics) in health economics. When it was the united game i was very shocked and pleased to find a fellow shrimper in colours working in the union shop... the next day he wasn't there however so i assumed he was hungover

anyone else had any on-campus shrimper moments??

The guy I sit (sat) with was an acquaintance made at uni.

Also on a similar vein, after the Man Utd match I came in to work in colours to find another chap in the same building who also posts on here proudly wearing the away strip. It was very much an 'only gay in the village' kind of feeling but it's handy for evening games!

I though I had posted in here, but cant see it. I am at Essex Uni (yes in Colchester) doing Finance and Mathematics. Currently in my 2nd year. It is good times, but living in Colchester is a ****ing pain in the ****. Was great last year when we won the league, not so good at the moment!!

Studied sports science and physiology (03-06) at Leeds uni for my first degree then worked for 8 months. Decided working wasn't for me so came back to do my MSc in physiotherapy at the scummy Leeds met.
Like many others had to watch the playoffs up here but luckily lots of mates supported lower league teams so lots of people were up for coming to watch it.
Teaching all my girl house mates the songs also a high point in my time here. Hearing three Hull girls walking around Leeds singing about building bonfires at the top of their voices at 3 in the morning was a moment that bought a tear to the eye.
Low moment was when we played Luton on TV and got hammered and 2 Luton fans (tossers) buying me the worst beer I have ever tasted after the game.
Walkabout also refusing to put the QPR game on this year was pretty upsetting.
Exam week this week for me with lots of practicals. Putting your hands over a half naked underwear model is a special moment for me, especially when massaging the chest and groin, and the girlfriend has to stand and watch. Lol. Kind of puts you off answering the questions though. It's a tough job but someones got to do it.

I could make you all fairly jealous (or not depending on whether you like the film which a large majority of people don't!) by saying that for one of my 3 exams I have to watch Titanic and do an essay question on it... such a hard life

Also for next year I get to do subjects like Spielberg and Lucus and Chick Flicks. Nice.

True - I was most annoyed that someone else was stealing my thunder ;)

This thread has just reminded me that I finished my finals almost exactly ten years ago. That makes me feel old...

and i start my first year in september
:cricko:
that wont make you feel much better :)

Indeed it does not :)

SZ fact of the day - Cricko would have gone to Oxford University had it been existence when he was a teenager.
