The Rob Noxious Retro Radio Show

"Up With People, Down With DJs"

Part 1 of a somewhat chaotic show from 16.10.11 :link:> http://i.mixcloud.com/CqVBE < but with some great stuff from Scott Walker, Van Morrison, Pilot (!), T.Rex, John Lennon, Lambchop (ahem), Chip Taylor, PP Arnold, The Small Faces and PP Arnold. Keep it 'Kick-up' Retro!

'Hang The DJ'

A truly shambolic return to form in the second part of this broadcast from 16.10.11 ... :link:> http://i.mixcloud.com/CqVta < but some good recordings survive the chaos, especially from The Damned (on the John Peel Show in '76), Captain Sensible, The Clash, The Jam, The Waifs, Ryan Adams and early Lizzy. Keep it mega kick-up Retro!

'Cranking It Up With The Creek' (pt.1)

A treat for Blues rockists on this one :guitar:> http://i.mixcloud.com/CqWnc< with Tim Chapple, 'Basso Profundo' of Cornish Blues rockers Devil's Creek helping to crank this show up. The Feelgoods kick it off, then we've got Slade live, Devil's Creek, Spiders era Bowie from a John Peel session in 1972, Mick Ronson and Paul Kossoff. Geetar!

Alvin Sawdust & The Crabs From Uranus

We're keeping it glamtastic Retro on the show this week folks as we've got 'The Living Legend Of Retro' Alvin Sawdust in the studio with movie mogul Buttz Yoddles to talk about their film 'Alvin Sawdust & The Crabs From Uranus' - should be a right giggle. Here's the latest trailer > http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dZSXjqVT9lI

Look out for a weirdo wearing an SUFC jacket down at Falmouth Docks. :winking:

Tune in from 4.30-6pm this Sunday on The Source 96.1FM > http://www.thesourcefm.co.uk/listen

... and you'll be a groovy funker.

Meeting Alvin Sawdust ... again

As Tony Berrichonne knows, I don't like to big myself up ... but the show this afternoon promises to be a hoot. Tune in at 4.30pm via http://www.thesourcefm.co.uk/listen and listen to Alvin Sawdust, 'The Living Legend Of Retro' talk about his forthcoming movie, 'Alvin Sawdust & The Crabs From Uranus' with the mighty movie maker, Buttz Yoddles, erstwhile front man of 'Last Of The Teenage Idols.' It's stars in your ears on 'The Rob Noxious Retro Radio Show' all the way from 4.30-6pm. We'll be playing a few glamtastic retro tunes too.

Phil Burdett and Ben Jordan - unplugged at The Source, 13.11.11

It's a Bobcat special on tomorrow's show via > http://www.thesourcefm.co.uk/listen from 4.30-6pm. Difficult to select from so many tracks from Mr. Zimmerman's back catalogue into a ninety-minute show, but everyone's a winner with a few covers from Them, The Hollies, Nancy Sinatra and Rod Stewart too. A special guest appearance from a mystery Bobcat too - who will be talking Zim and bringing in a few selections from said catalogue. Keep it Zim Retro!

:cool:I shall make a point of listening in (though with perhaps not my usual 100% attention,as unfortunately I've agreed to proof read-and correct- a boring law article before it's published).

Walking On The Edge, 27.11.11

The Noxcast from the day that Gary Speed died > http://i.mixcloud.com/CwwSG ... includes Brinsley Schwarz dedication, The Handsome Family, Sparks, the eponymous Feelgoods track and much, much more!

Keep it Noxious Retro!
