Someone should just roll a grenade in and be done with it.Hope so, the west toilets especially up the W Block end are a genuine hazzard

Sounds like a job for @Mad CyrilSomeone should just roll a grenade in and be done with it.
Instead of rotating the pitch has anyone thought about rotating the stands?
Toilets have been a key focus for immediate spending. This is likely to have been a patch job for the time being.Anyone know of any work in the west.
Toilets
sprucing up bars/facilities etc
I don't think that's a rumour, the stands are always certified separately and, with two weeks still before the season starts, there's plenty of time. The East naturally had to be done for the Gillingham match.Heard a rumour that as of Saturday we only had a safety cert for the east stand and the 3 others haven't yet been signed off.
I'm sure they will be soon

Indeed this was heavily implied when the club announced ticket sales for Gillingham:I don't think that's a rumour, the stands are always certified separately and, with two weeks still before the season starts, there's plenty of time. The East naturally had to be done for the Gillingham match.
(At least, this is what I assumed they were referring to when I read it, given last minute safety certificate work has now become a core part of our pre-season)Only the Foxhie East Stand and the Solopress North Bank (for away supporters) will be open for this fixture. Work is ongoing on the Gilbert & Rose Stand and the South Stand to ensure that these areas will be ready for the York City game on Saturday, 10 August, as we expect a bumper crowd for the opening fixture.
A chair lift might be more appropriate in some cases . I’ve seen a few fragile folk go flying over the years.many supporters have had a fall on those East Stand stairs over the years the sooner it`s all pulled down and rebuilt the better
It may well be that there is not "safety" work going on but simply work; improving toilets, food etc AND a safety inspection can not be expected to be satisfactory for any unfinished project.Indeed this was heavily implied when the club announced ticket sales for Gillingham:

The stewards are generally very understanding and a few regular, long time, mobility challenged folk are allowed in via the grounds persons gap and then to their seats which are closer to the front of the stands.A chair lift might be more appropriate in some cases . Maybe Sherif's been busy drawing up the plans and that why we haven't heard from him as much? Was it mentioned before that either Tom Lawrence, or Justin went down to Fratton with Sherif H.
I didn’t know that, very positive news. Was it mentioned before that either Tom Lawrence, or Justin went down to Fratton with Sherif H.
worth looking at their website for more examples of their workI've just watched this video again about the transformation of Fratton Park (featuring our very own @Sherif H !)
It's worth watching as it looks like Portsmouth faced many similar issues there to the ones we face at Roots Hall - principally reduced capacity due to ground safety issues.
Let's hope COSU are talking to Sherif's guys as they clearly know their stuff and I'm sure learned a lot from the Fratton Park experience that could be used in the transformation of Roots Hall.
I didn’t know that, very positive news.
I also love the idea of using experts who are also fans.
