We WILL go down this season if we don't improve the team.

Simple as that.

Ron needs to sell up and give us half a chance. all this "lets get behind the lads" bull**** has got to stop!!!!! We have gone from a league 1 side pushing for promotion to this!

What is it going to take for some of you to wake up and realize we are doomed if something doesn't change? Conference South? Isthmian Prem?

COME ON PEOPLE!!! Have a look around!!! do you really think this is normal? enough is enough!

GET MARTIN OUT.
All of us, not just some of us ,ALL OF US, now is our time, no more messing around

Is it possible the agreement was in place as you understood and we haven’t kept our side of the bargain and now want to agree a new timetable ?
I think it’s just dragged on and HMRC got the big stick out. That said I thought it was in place so can’t say for sure can we. What I do believe is the HMRC big stick, and the situation becoming public, will hasten the resolution.

Love this has brought out 3 kinds of posters

1. Oh no we are all doomed
2. The smug "I told you so" brigade as if that helps at all
3. PROTEST, FIGHT GET FINES MAE THINGS WORE

Now I am not happy but I do not see that wasting energy on a protest on deaf ears is going to help.

Change of ownership is always on the cards, Ron is stubborn but it has always be about the price. Ron’s prize was always new stadium and house building, anyone coming in needs to equal the profile of that and he would sell regardless what he has said.

I would hazard a guess no one has come close to the price in the past, it might be more urgent but anything towards that figure will see us change ownership

Really? I think the chairmen of the club since Rubin Snr have been all dodgy as hell.
I was speaking generically rather than SUFC specifically - I agree that ours have (unfortunately) always been in the limelight. Hopefully the next one will keep a low profile and just pay the bills.

Ron is a property developer and a fan. He initially had a plan that lined his pocket and then it changed to one that lines his pocket and gives the club the new stadium they are desperate for. Delays, a financial crash, COVID and a begrudging council have made the whole project a long drawn out mess that is as toxic to Ron as it is depressing for us. I suspect the problems were compounded by Ron's portfolio not containing an oil company or two.

Ron will sort out the current predicament and SVC, JS, TL et al, will do their job to the best of their abilities within whatever financial constraints persist.

Eventually it will all pan out and then we can muster a moan or two about how we sustain life in a new stadium. I remember sitting in the boardroom with VJ in the eighties and going through the nuts and bolts of a proposed new stadium. We will be having a golden jubilee soon to mark fifty years of stadium plans. Almost half the life of the club. It will happen and until then we will limp more than we sprint.

I've heard from a work colleague, who was informed by the cleaner of their next door neighbours dog walker that a very reliable source (works ar Heinz) has mentioned that a certain Richard Bingham is currently looking at purchasing the club.

Sorry I probably like others are confused.I thought that we cant bring in new players because we are under an embargo. Now the club say we are under an embargo but we can bring players in.So what is it??

Can mods please stop the Anti Stan attacks . Stan has no part in the club finances and is not responsible for Ron’s antics
He is part of the reason why there is so much anger, frustration and disappointment at today's revelations. If you over promise and don't deliver, even if the delivery is not in your hands, don't be surprised if there's a blowback. Did he really walk into this situation without DD as far as rhe unlikelihood of his promises being kept because of the financial situation that clearly precluded it. Didn't the CEO know the true state of affairs weeks ago and realise the implications? You don't get an HMRC bill out of the blue and they don't start pressing you until the bill is overdue. This revamp was portrayed as the club at last being rebuilt on firm foundations for the future but it looks more like a house of cards at the moment.

I think HMRC are more interested in receiving the money they are owed than honesty. If HMRC believe that we are capable of paying the money back in instalments, then an agreement will be reached.

If they take us to court and demand money instantly, they won’t get it. If they agree for it to be paid in instalments, they (hopefully) will get it. That’s more important to them than how honest they perceive a company to be.
Yes they will, just like they have every time previously. The threat of winding up or a points reduction usually has the desired effect.

Either way, that's not relevant this time around as it seems a payment plan is being agreed.

We can sign players, they just can’t play in football matches. A very stupid thing to do but then Ron already has a track record of this.

Whilst we're at it, let's stop the Ron, other members, the ticket office, bar staff, club shop, the burger bar staff eg eg "attacks". They're not attacks, they're just people with a difference of opinions.

At this rate we'll all be moderated because someone or another is offended because they don't like what another person has said.

I actually feel sorry for the Mod's it's getting silly.

Seriously what did you really expect Stan to deliver? Loads of people come into this club with good intentions but I always think “well yeah, that’s great but let’s wait and see how you find life working with Ron first”. I was pleased Stan came on board but I was never so blind to think he would be able deliver anything quickly. There’s no fairytale where SUFC are concerned. Ron’s money drying up does not mean the new people we have working at the club are not doing a good job.
