Correct, honestly it is a joke in there with the added legroom. Back to The West for me. We just need to keep the rabble @RHB and his Mrs from kicking off every game, waving their walking sticks about. The creaking wasn't the old wooden seats, it was Crickos back
Debateable, a North Bank is terracing only, at least it was when I inhabited it in the 60s/70s.It’s the North Bank, not the North stand.
Yeah, bring it on you old geezer, we're ready to stick it to you.Correct, honestly it is a joke in there with the added legroom. Back to The West for me. We just need to keep the rabble @RHB and his Mrs from kicking off every game, waving their walking sticks about.
I hate the wooden seats in the East Stand. Hard and uncomfortable and even with my short frame there's no legroomCorrect, honestly it is a joke in there with the added legroom. Surly by your statement ‘stand’ it’s the other way round, no?Debateable, a North Bank is terracing only, at least it was when I inhabited it in the 60s/70s.

Nah, but don't take my word for it, I'm slightly delusional sometimes.Surly by your statement ‘stand’ it’s the other way round, no?
I was there when we played Millwall several years ago and they sang 3-0 and it’s all your fault at our keeper, Simon Royce maybeNot sure I subscribe to that theory Riggers. I've yet to see a keeper in front of the North Stand shank a clearance as a result of a 'You're **** arggggh' outburst, home or away. In fact I think they thrive on that sort of noise for goal kicks. Now, if they are rubbish keepers, or having a bad day, and mishandling the ball, that's another matter..........
Well I'm blushing now. It's like you know meYour short and ‘beautiful’ frame, you mean?!!
A certain Jack Butland couldn’t handle the “banter” dished out by the North Bank back in 2012 playing for Cheltenham. He had a nightmare evening littered with errors in a 4-0 win for our boys. Not sure I subscribe to that theory Riggers. To be fair Smiffy we weren't only giving him the 'You're ****, arggggh!' that night...A certain Jack Butland couldn’t handle the “banter” dished out by the North Bank back in 2012 playing for Cheltenham. He had a nightmare evening littered with errors in a 4-0 win for our boys.
This from Cheltenham manager Mark Yates.
“We gifted them the first goal and Jack [Butland] has not had the best of times for the others. It's a night to forget for him.
From what i am told all stands are only allowed an 80 to 85% capacity and X block is included in The West stands so if that is used then elsewhere in the stand (normally the family block) would have to lose seats.IMO , if possible safety and financially, just open W,X ,Y and into the North East corner and then let the Blue Voice (young and old), make a call on where to be ….
I thought this too, but the East Greens was absolutely packed on Saturday. Tickets there tend to be sold out for league games and it's never been close to that busy. Perhaps there was no difference in sales but just a % of season ticket holders are always missing in league games. From what i am told all stands are only allowed an 80 to 85% capacity and X block is included in The West stands so if that is used then elsewhere in the stand (normally the family block) would have to lose seats.
Agreed but The Blue seats were near on empty.I thought this too, but the East Greens was absolutely packed on Saturday. Absolute pain getting out of the stand too. Desperately need a new East StandCorrect, honestly it is a joke in there with the added legroom. Back to The West for me. We just need to keep the rabble @RHB and his Mrs from kicking off every game, waving their walking sticks about.
Classic game. When Butland finally caught a cross cleanly he looked back at us in the South Upper and stuck his tongue out.To be fair Smiffy we weren't only giving him the 'You're ****, arggggh!' that night...
I believe that it had been in the press just before that he was being touted as a cert to play for England, etc, and certain comments were made about him being so good he was playing at Roots Hall...
IIRC he fumbled a cross and then people started on about if he came to Southend he had to catch eels and if he couldn't even catch a ball... It really seemed to get to him... By the end of the night he'd literally thrown one in over his shoulder, nutmegged for another, beat at his near post... it just went on, shanked clearances straight into the West... He had a mare, probably still wakes up screaming now!
