Question The North Bank and your thoughts?

FC Halifax will be the first game to really concentrate those who want to create an atmosphere.
The game on Boxing day was so busy and yesterday's where there were 700 ish, they are not going to achieve those numbers again for a while in the North Bank, so it will give the Blue Voice a chance to gather together with the drum. Yesterday we had only the back 3/4 rows standing in all blocks. I think i'll change our season tickets permanently now to the North bank.
We say wherever the drummer goes, we'll be nearby. Just like W block in the West or every away game. Some of the rubbish football in this league, we couldnt just sit there in the freezing cold without some banter with the opposition or no atmosphere, carving out draws with non league teams uuurrgh or worse.
I thought yesterday those who made an atmosphere done really well considering we were dotted around the North bank.

Great post and 100% agree. It has to be an al or nothing. I don’t know who is chief of the blue voice these days, is it still @TrueBlue ? It needs to be a coordinated effort. Get Dan in the block behind the goal and the rest of W block to join. But I accept all will want to do that but it’s the only way it will work. I enjoyed it in there yesterday but due to taking me elderly mum can’t move there permanently at the moment.

Still only 26 tickets sold in the North Bank for the Halifax game.

They need to get the speakers working in there been broken all season I think.
Plus the team need to attack the North Bank 2nd half. That hasn't happened yet, maybe we didn't win the toss?

The scoreboard gets in the way if you are sitting/standing in the back rows of the block next to the netting, can't see the South stand goalmouth. So the suggestions of putting Dan the drummer there behind the North bank goal, i dont think many will like going in behind the goal.
Probably the reason why there's only 25 sold for the NB next week so far, is because us West stand seasos have to now wait till Monday if we decide to swap our seats there (with that horrid £6.50 charge, no no i wasnt going to mention it lol ) so you'll no doubt see an uptake from Monday. The club COULD advertise it a bit more too.
Just a small note, thankyou to our stewards that let us stand in seated areas, id have frozen to death yesterday 😄

You need to be in the North Bank, you need to be standing, in an aisle preferably, have to sing for 90 minutes and have had a few beers
Think that sums it up (of course tongue in cheek)
I can help you there @RHB. To be a real hardcore supporter you must have a few pints, stand up and sing. Paying your money, sitting down and watching the match doesn't cut the mustard 😉
Cheers lads, that helps a fair bit. I now feel I've been a fraud for the last few years, maybe longer. I think I better send my season card back and apologise. Failing that I'll sneak back into the West Stand with the other old fraudsters and applaud the team at the end of 90+ minutes. :Winking:

I’ll be in the North Bank for as long as we’re housed there.
Let’s get a cracking atmosphere going.
Maybe get some flags out in the front rows.

I'd quite like an idea of what supporting the team actually means, just so as I'm clear whether I am or not.

There are different ways to support the team.

If you want to sit down and not be vocal, that’s fine. But there is already the East, West, and South for that. Why is it so offensive to suggest that the North should offer something different?

It was meant to be a bit humorous, so I'm sorry if you didn't see it that way. I wish the North Stand nothing but success and I hope the atmosphere that was created years ago can now re recreated in there again. I've written myself a note not to attempt humour again this season, and I'll look on in admiration from the West!

It’s the North Bank, not the North stand. 😉
