The NBA Thread...

This has got to be the single most embarassing, humiliating and dominant result in play-off history... Ray Allen sunk 8 consecutive 3 pointers before coming off, and now the C's have a massive 38 point lead.

That was astonishing. That sort of thrashing is common place in the regular season (particularly if the Bucks are involved) but almost unprecedented in the Finals. I was hoping they'd beat the 42 point margin the Bulls beat the Jazz by in 1998, but I'm sure Paul Pierce and co won't mind too much.

And how emotional was KG in his post-game interview? He's such a nutjob.

Well done the 'tics, great stuff.

I think KG had pretty much resigned himself to not winning a Championship in his career, so to win it in such a dramatic fashion got the better of him...

Absolutely. You have to admire an athlete like KG, for whom winning a championship meant so much. Brilliant piece by Bill Simmons on Game 6 which definitely merits reading - even if you're no big fan of basketball - and is a pretty good way to end things off for the 07/08 season...

B*llocks... Was hoping Rose would somehow slip to 2nd pick so I could get to see him in October. No real shocks with the draft to be fair, Heat took Beasley mainly for weight in a trade I think, probably to Minnesota for Mayo and a Draft pick. Little surprised to see Jerryd Bayless drop that far down as he's been class in the little i've seen of him.
