Most people who have a serious reaction from the jab do so within 5 days. They are considered unvaxed until 14 days after the jab.

So anyone who has a bad reaction, including those who convulse whilst still in the jab centre......Well they are unvaxed.......Hope this helps

Cases seem to have hopefully stopped increasing massively, but more importantly, hospital admissions and ICU bed occupancy is remaining flat.

Fingers crossed, in a week or two's time they all realise that South African doctors were correct, and this is a much milder strain and the over-reaction would have ended.
Thank goodness at least one small part of the UK is under the leadership of a responsible, grown up, truthful and trustworthy politician who puts public health before private wealth. England should be so lucky.

Getting fed up of the constant hysteria surrounding COVID. It's here to stay so locking down is simply delaying the inevitable, as it was the first few times it was tried.

Want your jabs? Get them and know you're statistically safer from serious disease.

Don't want them? Crack on and if you're ill then it's your fault and you reap the consequences. I know some will go on about protecting NHS, being selfish taking up beds, but obesity and smoking are also self-damaging choices but we don't go condemning people for the strain that causes do we?

Last I read a couple days ago, this new variant has presented hospitalisations in the number of 10s, not 100s or 1000s. None as far as I'm aware were on oxygen or ventilation either. If there's newer data then please feel free to correct me.

As far as I'm concerned, I feel we often talk about going back to 'normal' but then we hit the panic button as soon as normality stares us in the face.

Living in such fear is mere existence, it gives no quality of life. I've enjoyed being back at the football in the last year and it's been a highlight in yet another torrid year, which says a lot about 2021 really. Not sure how I'll feel if crowds are reduced/removed again.

Trying my best to not give out negative energy considering these forums are an attempted escape (considering the news surrounding SUFC, not very successful) from the miserable realities of daily life but I feel I had to say that.

Wishing each and every one of you a safe and happy Christmas and I urge you all to enjoy it thoroughly, we don't have a guaranteed amount of time on this planet.

I only skimmed it but That appears to talk about hospitalisation not ICU.

That's the problem, so much data around with different opinions and views, you just have to go with what you're being told by the Gov. At the end of the day, they're the accountable ones.

I'm classed as vulnerable with Covid as I have underlying health issue but as someone who is triple vaccinated I feel safe enough.I know we have to be sensible with this but we have to have a balance and live life.It seems silly to take away attending live sports events that are outside

A complete myth pushed by media

As others have said this about hospitalisations, not ICU but even in the context of hospitalisations those figures show a clear benefit to the vaccine. Only 10% of adults haven't been vaccinated yet 35% of hospitalisations are unvaccinated? Clearly the vaccine has a benefit otherwise you'd expect the percentage of hospitalisations of unvaccinated people to be 10%, not 35%. In fact we can calculate from this that you're 5 times as likely to end up in hospital if you aren't vaccinated.

I see that the Welsh FA have decided that spectators are not allowed to be inside stadiums.

I'm sure the the English FA will follow suit in the coming days or weeks.

Where do we think that will leave us?

It was different before as we had the access to matches. That isn't the case in the national league.

I have a feeling that Bromley or Barnet games will be the last game for fans for a little while.

Hope I am wrong.
So the Welsh clubs fans cant watch their home games but there's nothing stopping them coming into England so they can watch them play away.

Non of those figure are up to date. claiming someone is unjabbed because they haven't had a booster gives completely false figures.

When the show people who have not had a single jab, including the last 14 days then they might have some relevance.

The the booster number 2 jab is already planned. So within a few months those with all 3 will be unjabbed for hospital figures.

I guess number 5 will need a new name....How about Booster Plus.

A radio producer says his body does not work after he caught Covid.
John Jenkins, 21, from Southend says he cannot breathe and he's also urging others to get the Covid vaccinations.
He took to Facebook to tell people about how he's feeling in a video.
He's almost struggling to speak and breathless during the recording.
He said: "I tested positive yesterday and wanted to let you know what it's like, I am 21, healthy. I am asthmatic but otherwise fit. It's just wiped me out, I can't breathe.

"My body just does not work, I dont know how long its going to stay like this. If I go to the toilet it takes me about half an hours to recover. My mind is working, but everything I want to do or say just cant connect it with my body.
"It just doesn't work, so whether you've had one, two or three vaccinations, I've had two, just go and get your jab. It's really important and for those of you saying it's mild - it's really not."

It’s possible that the Welsh and Scottish are being over cautious but I guess the aim is to stop mass infection at so called ‘super spreader’ events and pre-empt a possible surge in hospital admissions or front line workers off sick with Covid. It isn’t just about people winding up in ICU.

Officially the line in England is that the data doesn’t support increased restrictions at the minute so let’s hope it stays that way and we can all carry on enjoying a day at the football.

Spanish news earlier was saying that the current vacine passports (presumably udated to include 3rd jabs, like ours) would only be valid for 9 months.
