If Nirvana were so inspirational why do most of their fans loiter outside W H Smiths looking like miserable ****s?

great point, i would argue that all Nirvana have influenced is slackers, wasters and MTV-rock. I'm struggling to think of any music of note that has come from Nirvana/Nevermind/Grunge.

Voted for the Stone Roses.

Reasons:
- Nirvana made a better album than Nevermind, It's called In Utero.
- I prefer The Stone Roses debut to Nevermind.
- Waterfall. Quite possibly my favourite song ever.
- The bassline on I Am The Ressurection.
- While I'm sick to death of the Nevermind cover, I could look at John Squire's
Jackson Pollock inspired artwork every day 'til I die and still wouldn't tire of it.
- The added bonus of annoying some people who seem to think there is a right and
wrong with enjoying music. (ie Q readers).

Thanks Johnny, much appreciated!

Need a bit of a Ressurection on this thread so I'm Banging The Drum, because This Is The One! Vote The Stone Roses, musically flawed but an absolute perfection of harmony that'd make your day go with a whizz!

Vote The Stone Roses for a better Shrimperzone!

Looks like it's all over. Can't argue at second place (again!) - unlike OFAH (:puke), I love Nirvana and Nevermind and it is a close, close second to The Stone Roses.

So thanks to the 35 people that voted and for everyone's votes across the competition. Cheers to BlueBlood for organising it.

44-35 to Nevermind with just over three hours to go. Not over till it's over but TSR have a lot to do to catch it now.

Vote Nevermind, those who have yet to cast their votes and let justice be done.

To the person who PM'd me and said that "there was more to music than rawk", I say RAWK RULES OK!!!

this final result is an embarrassment for music.

*walks away*

Hardly. Well done Nevermind, just proves that class will out in the end.

Great win, AS - as Bill McLaren the rugby commentator used to say "They'll be rejoicing in Aberdeen tonight"...

RAWK RULES OKAY!!!
