The Essex CCC Thread

I didn't realise Moore had moved to Lancs. Blimey - they have a pretty strong line-up. Fantastic stuff from Jimmy Anderson - 6/44. 176 all out is poor from us - especially with Lancs 42/1 off only 7 overs.

We'll have to pull off something pretty extraordinary to salvage even a draw from this match...

Not sure Moore is necessarily all that and he's one of their better batsmen.

Lancs have a pretty handy pace attack, but their batting is pretty woeful. Smith's record as an opener is abysmal, yet Moores continues to persist with him. Not that any of that will stop them racking up a hefty score against a similarly weak Essex bowling attack. With no Kaneria and no Napier there is very little to lose sleep over when Masters' nagging accuracy is the most of your worries.

Their imminent signings of Katich and Chanderpaul should help that.....
