Boycott tells it how it is

Boycott is an arse. I once went to a dinner where Boycott, Trueman, Close & Illingworth were all in attendance. Four know it all Yorkshiremen whose views are diametrically opposed yet none of them were wrong.

I'd say the day has ended fairly even, maybe the Aussies poking their noses in front with the wickets of Prior and Flintoff at the end.

I've only seen the highlights, but I've been on the BBC website all day reading about the game, but there was a lot of decent starts, Bopara, Strauss, Flintoff, Prior, KP and Collingwood but no-one really kicked on. KP had a 100 in his hands in my opinion. The Aussie attack was suffering and he gifted them another wicket. Poor shot selection, but its not the first time its happened.

Good to see Flintoff on form with some cracking shots, and Prior looked class. If we can edge up to 400 then I'd be delighted.

Id slightly favour the Aussies from here.....if we had been bowling and got 7 wickets on the first day we would have been delighted. If Prior and Freddie were there then we would be in front but I cant see us getting much more than 360 now. Competitive but not stamping our mark on the game. Another interesting day looms though....

Good counterr-attack from the tail. :) Seamers will have to be on the money this arvo if we're going to make inroads... unless the cloud cover gets the ball reversing...

I went to a sportmans dinner when Bob Willis was speaking. I've never met a duller man. And I know Barry harris.
