The American Gun Law

37414327.jpg

Saw on the news tonight the first working gun 'printed' using a 3d printer thing. God help any gun laws now.

I saw that, but how much does it cost to print stuff? Can't pop to PC World and pick up a 3d printer now can I?

From the BBC website - The gun was made on a 3D printer that cost $8,000 (£5,140) from the online auction site eBay.

Also you need a licence to be able to download the blueprints and "print" them.

Not yet, but the first consumer 3D printer is about£1500...

Would still need ammunition of course and cant make that using a 3D printer.

Wow, and I thought it would be prohibitively expensive too. You suckas best treat me nice or I'll pop a 3D printed bullet in yer tushy. :winking:

See my edit. Your 3D bullet wouldnt have any gunpowder so you would have to throw it at me

BBC

So this time a guy who has been treated for mental illness and has been arrested twice for gun related issues manages to get into a naval base and kill a load of people.

I'd love to hear the NRA explain again how a lone security guard would stop a school massacre.

Indeed. Attacking a navy base and still killing 12 including police trying to stop him.

They will never learn.

Very true,

When we were in Vegas although we were not intimidated we were certainly aware of possible problems if you dared venture into areas off the tourist route in particular downtown ,Very oddball people indeed.

But there's parts of London you could say the same.

But there's parts of London you could say the same.

When you see ordinary people with holstered guns it's rather alarming,We were all dumbstruck when we saw a convertible roll into the car park of the gun store and this 6 foot woman jumped out packing her firearm,You would not mess with her.

To be fair... if you don't want to see people holding guns then don't go to the gun store

I've been to Vegas several times, including walking through some of the 'dodgy' areas and never seen anyone holding a gun or with one obviously in their possession. There are areas where you'd not want to be at night but that's the same in most cities.

Several people told us to be aware of Freemont Street but we all thought it was brilliant there!,The zip line was immense.

We were in Florida until last Friday, and whilst there one day was speaking to a local, and the conversation turned to locals arming themselves.
According to this guy, gun crime in Florida is relatively lower than other States, because anyone can carry a firearm and use it if felt threatened.
This allegedly has lowered the number of muggings, robberies etc, because the Scumbags are never sure if their intended victim is armed and are more wary of committing a crime!.
No idea if this is a fact, but the guy seemed convinced of it.
