Thanks Kev - but is a new manager needed?

The definition of stupidity, do the same thing over and over again and expect a different result, time for Maher to go, I’d prefer him to walk away by mutual agreement but I really think he believes he is doing it right, get someone in that knows how to set up an attacking team now, give us a chance of the play offs.

Dagenham 16th (10 points from last 10 games)
Braintree 18th (were in relegation zone when we played them)
Fylde 22nd (7 points from last 10 games and only won once away all season)
Ebbsfleet 24th (worse team we have played in memory - 1 win all season)

We play worse teams than the above and lose, we get heavily beaten by Barnet. I dont think results against the above teams should be celebrated as we should be convincingly beating these regardless. These results shouldnt paper over the big cracks that are there and any semi decent team are going to beat us at the moment.
Add
sittingbourne (Sunday league team) - ****ing embarrassing loss
Maidenhead 22nd - we were **** again.

He won’t get sacked, but there has to be a time his fellow management team say, ‘that’s enough Kev, that’s enough’..

Hopefully he will walk, and do the right thing for the club. It`s shocking and that falls on his watch. Thanks for your loyalty, but something isn`t right. I`m sure a better manager would get a tune out of the players we have. #MaherOut

A new Manager needs time ( ie the rest of this season ) to either get these players playing as a decent side or to realise they just aren't good enough and build his own side.
I know he can't move everyone on at once but its better to give someone new that time before a new season.
I agree with this, if a new manager was brought in now, they’d be ready for a full unhindered preseason themselves. A shame that Maher hasn’t had that but for me he’s thrown that opportunity away by the style of play this season.

I advocated this weeks ago. A new management team is needed now so they have the rest of this season to assess who is worth keeping so that they can get cracking in the summer with new signings, have a proper pre season and hit the ground running from the word go.

I'm still on the fence...this season is a write off but he has to show something with this side before the season ends to get a crack at next. We're signing targets now Hayes, Kendall if we continue like this till end of season he should go

I do think so, the worrying thing is I think the players are losing respect, it sounds like he is on at them all the time which is probably now wearing thin. Also there was no urgency or bounce back from last week, so he either hasn't motivated them enough this week or they've given up

Do we have an outstanding/commanding player at the Club ?
No Leaders either !

I'm not sure we have any fan favourites in this whole team. Pepple was a favourite and was a loanee.

Maybe GSM and Taylor at a push.

Think of teams of the past and we had real characters. I can't think of a less inspirational captain than Ralph.

Kev should be sacked, he won't be, not before the end of the season anyway.

His football has been atrocious for a long time, he's obsessed with the 5 at the back and the passing along the back line with no cut and thrust forward. If he's given the summer transfer window expect more of the same next year too.

He's too inexperienced as a manager and his bullish " my way" only attitude is grating OK fans and players.

Kev is probably a reasonable number 2 somewhere or a head coach, but he's not a management material I don't think. He would not of got a managers position elsewhere at this level or above.

Now that's Ron has gone we should be getting in an experienced manager who knows this league and how to get out of it. Not some sentimental affinity to an ex player.
