Really what the 3 amigos have achieved this season is not good enough. I know what they achieved under the ’s tenure was really impressive .
Importantly the 3 amigos won’t be sacked as I’ve previously stated COSU were too generous in giving out 3 year contracts.
The COSU can’t afford to sack the 3 amigos. Just say for arguments sake the 3 of them are on a combined annual salary of £200k x2.5 years of remaining contract is 500k . The consortium won’t want to bin 500k.
This in my opinion, leaves us with the current management and the consortium will have to back the 3 amigos to some financial point.
But I’m not so sure whatever players joins our club will turn things around on the pitch.
The tactics and team setup are awful and the substitutions are far too late . The frustration of seeing Kev not learning from his mistakes is peeing me off more than anything.

I'm getting to the point where I actually think it might be better to change before the January transfer window. Personally I would give maher the next 2 but anything less than 4 points he can go! The recruitment has been shocking to so far, I would question jon still position with Southend going forward. Unacceptable all round.

Just read his post match interview, he sounds deluded and I doubt will change anything. If he keeps playing his out of form favourites and refuses to adapt the ‘ultra safe’ style of play, we’re finishing in the bottom half. IMO, that’s not good enough and needs calling out.

Playing Husin and Bridge when they are clearly out of form not only raises questions about Kevin's footballing judgement, it causes a drop in morale amongst the rest of the squad, particularly players like KAF, Wood and Waldron who have not been given a fair crack of the whip.

It is funny how blind faith in certain players is often the undoing of managerial reigns. I think David Webb and Steve Tilson were among the few managers I can remember that were pretty even-handed in their treatment of players.

I do think Justin Rees will be watching Kevin's handling of the current situation very carefully.

Time for change is now. The January transfer window is too important to be left in the hands of a head coach whose inexperience in the role together with his negative and inflexible philosophy coupled with a stubborn refusal to adapt has been all too clearly exposed this season. Giving him more time only postpones the inevitable. If we win the next two games, as we should based on how dreadful Ebbsfleet and Braintree are, it won't change anything. We are going nowhere with Maherball and our fate will forever be skulking in the lower reaches of this awful league, or worse. Today's performance was typical of this season as were the bizarre substitutions and COSU should recognise that nothing is to be gained by doing nothing and allowing things to ger even worse. It doesn't matter who we might sign, they will soon get dragged down to the same level as we saw today.

Also, maybe he is making us play bad so Gillingham or Bristol Rovers, two other clubs he was involved with, don’t sign our players…

For all of this that we’ve always been told about how much research goes into the characters of the players etc, we seem to have moved on massive parts of the team spirit in Powell and Fonguck and replaced them with players that don’t have the same effect. I don’t think this can be underestimated. The spirit and fight just isn’t the same any more.
