We don't need major surgery to improve our team, only to solve fews puzzle and see if is fit in our system, then we all set for the new season so I am not panicked yet!
 
Just had a look on the fa out of contract players and the following seemed to fit the bill.

Abdolaye Faye, Anthony Gardener and Peter Clarke.

This isn't me saying I think it is one of them so don't shoot me down, but in my opinion, these three fit the 'colossal' tag that brown gave. Maybe not Clarke though. I am probably completely wrong because I doubt we could afford any of these.
