Putting our recruitment aside, some excellent things are happening behind the scenes, all very positive which will in turn help with the stuff we see on the pitch.

It’s actually quite difficult to know how to react to all this optimism.

If it help with making gloom, then remember the injuries to Hopper, Hump and Murph, plus a few more nailed on starter signings, that for simple injury reason weren't able to make the full contributions that should have made us all happier.
Fingers crossed for the new lads that the jinx has been lifted.

And first sight that seems like a good thing - we don't need that sort of disruptive attention although the club might want any money that results.

Those we are retaining are all, iirc, under contract or have been offered contracts (as academy players) so would want fees etc. And we, ourselves, seem to be focusing of free from contract players too.
