Transfer News and Gossip Summer/Autumn Transfer Targets/Rumours Thread 2022

There are a few on here talking about Mussa's position or his low stats. I think it's a little premature to label what kind of player he is. He is still very young and he could easily change how he plays and where he plays with some good coaching. There weren't many that saw Dennis as a center forward initially but he flourished there. Mussa also played for Weymouth! De Bruyne would struggle to get an assist with Goodship up front.

Personally, I'm excited by this potential signing.

£20k isn’t a particularly large sum. It’s considerably cheaper to pay a £20k transfer fee than pay £250 more a week in wages to an alternative target on a 2 year deal.

That’s why when Webby came back with an instruction to save money he paid transfer fees for Mark Rawle and Tes Bramble. Their wages and transfer fee combined were less than the wages we were paying Carruthers and Tolson.

The club currently has cash flow difficulties but payments for transfer fees can be structured - if the other club is willing to play ball - and potentially split into instalments or delayed. How accommodating Weymouth would be I’m not sure - we ****ed them off with the way we handled the Molesley appointment but Tom Lawrence is probably handling things in a more professional up front manner which will help such matters be forgotten.
All fees we paid in January were structured in installments. People just need to trust TL.

Has joined Boreham Wood.

We had a great record with 3-4-3 but I never felt Maher really trusted it. He wasn’t just quick to drop it at the first sign of a wobble but also with his subs during that run we’d often drop back to 3-5-2.
I get what your saying, i hope we go with that as it was great to watch.

Switching to the 352 when winning late on makes sense or trying to get a point away from home

Omurmussa__

We didn’t have players to make it work, now we do!
We had a good run with 343 last year that was the point of my original posts a few pages back, i was replying saying i understand the switch to 352 if we were holding onto a lead.

But the main point was that i didnt think we payed as well with 352 and hope we go back to 343 as i think it is a better formation.

Anyway transfer thread so back on topic

Yeah I think since he put the gus one up then took it away proves someone is pulling strings from within… might aswell call it the clubs official transfer site…,
My apologies for not keeping everything up to date minute by minute or to your satisfaction Pete.

It can be difficult to do it when not at the laptop. Which I am not today, as I’m experiencing the outside world. Funny old place.

Must do better.

We really need goals from midfield, Mussa may possibly be used in a more holding role.
If we play 343 with two in CM what we need are to very hard working midfielders who can put a foot in and ideally create something. If 3 up top and a couple of wingbacks can’t provide goals that’s where the problem likely lies
