At the moment, I reckon our preferred system might be 4-3-3:



I think that would leave us potentially two more signings away from being a really decent squad. The two signings being another striker/winger and a central midfielder. If Coker/Benton can fill in another central midfield position then that gives us two pretty decent XI’s to cover for injuries, competition, suspension etc.

Mooney in central midfield? Surely he’s been signed to play on the right of a front three.

Isn't it lovely to have so many options and having what looks likely a very strong subs bench too. , I feel that using the subs in a more timely and proactive way could be the big difference in tight games this season.

I am pleased with 3 new signing, it’s what we needed in these defensive position. That will end any silly rumours about money issues/embargo’s etc, that was the reason why we dropped from League 1 to bottom half of NL in 3 years. Hopefully we can get at least 3 more in, then that should be enough.

That is very true, I wouldn’t think he want to earn less than his Bromley wages, playing somewhere else. You must be proud of him for scoring a winner at Wembley to win them the FA Trophy . Who know in future, he could join at an crucial 2nd half of the season and help Southend Utd by helping us back to EFL.

Now, now. There's no need for that. Be the bigger man. Do something nice like baking a peace offering. Here's a recipe you could try:

1. Puff pastry in a tin
2. Fill with homemade or shop bought humble
3. Top with puff pastry
4. Egg wash over top
5. Bake at 180 for 45 mins or until golden
6. Serve to recipients in generous slices

It was posted in every new player thread and elsewhere, we get it no embargo. Lets just leave that talk behind now and look forward to the return of the players today, hopefully some pics and the new season. To keep barking on about it now is pointless and just clogs up the threads.

You might have got it, but a LOT of posters didn’t get it.

I had people questioning my information, and I’ve taken some stick when some bits haven’t come to light, so I can rightly give some stick when I’m right and have been doubted.

I’m more than happy to leave my ITK post behind, and just comment as the fan I am on match threads etc. some people accused me, and other ITK posters, or stirring up the hysteria that has been on here just lately by saying a new announcement is due by then. Maybe that played a part, but Havens made money out of it, and I’m always happy to put my money where my mouth is.

Thankfully, my family & I are away on holiday next week, so I won’t be posting on here then.
