Bbc Essex are covering the issue from 10am Vic Jobson's son is on, saying he has purchased a limited company name, Southend City Ltd which could be used to start up a Phoenix club.

I suppose if you’ve got something you want to sell to an acquaintance and you don’t know it’s true value, you put it on the open market and push the interested parties to the limit then at the end, turn to your mate, and say that’s what it’s worth do you want it ?

I'm still not convinced by the argument that Ron needs SUFC in order to proceed with his property developments. What's to stop him allowing SUFC to go bust and then setting up his own pheonix SUFC pub team. He'll enter it into a Sunday pub league. It won't cost him anything to run. He keeps his pub team SUFC going for two years and then it plays at FF when it's built. Doesn't the planning permission only say "a team" is required to play at FF?
Think there will be plenty of teams who’d be only too happy to play at FF

If the other party is a true plan B they would have progressed in the background (without us noticing as they had discussions and did some level of DD). The extension needed would be short and he would potentially have two bids.

If this plan B is yet to make an offer or do DD they are not a real plan B. They are more of a hope. And why would they have sat back and watched this horror show unfold and the value of the investment fall? Unless they are struggling to raise funds or hoping for a distressed sale that suits Ron as it doesn’t involve FF?

If this second consortium is not yet advanced then he will need the longest extension he can get.

It will be interesting to see if the plan B becomes real, in terms of could happen quickly, rather than another tool to arguably “play” the court. The shorter the extension the more likely he has to reopen with Kimura as I have always thought the other interested party is a way off.

But we shall see. I could be very wrong.
