I very much doubt any buyer would put there money on the table unless tey have a water tight contract from Mr Martin .That has it agreed that he would sell the ownership of both rootshall and fossetts when built .

I can't see it being a quick process.

The DD is likely to ages, there's a lot to 'get to the bottom of'. Then the negotiations of price and whats included - I can see Ron being particularly stubborn in regards to this.

I'd be surprised if it was done in 4 months time before the start of the new season.

Agree with this, unless one party has already progressed notably…

Especially as there are no published accounts to work with. It could be that the accounts have been done but not published in which case it won't be as difficult, although I'd be surprised if that was the case.

There was a whisper the accounts were done but we hadn't paid the accountants so couldn't file them - this was a few months ago mind

agreed.

Here in Manila waiting for any good news.Please.
B prepared for a long wait !
That's why you ideally want owners with a meaningful connection to the club. And therefore longer term commitment. But the problem is if Ron has an offer of £35m from a rich Arab who has to pay someone to find us on a map (they are buying a business, we are customers) and £25m from someone with connections to the club and who is even a supporter (a fellow supporter), then that's where you start having a problem. How much goodwill has Ron got left towards us rather than the other way around (not really something we think about quite understandably....)?

As mentioned so many times, getting him to sell is great and the first step, but, with the greatest of regret, we don't get to choose who he sells to. To some extent (please sit down before reading on...) we are reliant on his good nature...

This is where we need key influencers like Stan to play an a absolute blinder so everyone's a winner...
not every one can be a winner 😕😕😕😕

He’s been vocal on foreign ownership from dubious sources before. But who knows..

What ever stan does it will be for the good of the club in my view .I am sure stan has many contacts ..If they want to buy the club is another matter .But i have said it before i can see this draging its feet for somr time to come .
Yeah, I can see this dragging out and getting quite messy, with buyers wanting the more profitable areas of the project included and Ron digging his heals in.

Ron put the club up for sale in a press conference Friday.

He’s appointed some big shot agency to find a buyer.

The rest is speculation and whilst we can make educated guesses nobody knows.
Spot on.

There is speculation that the process will that a considerable amount of time however what if Fridays announcement was timed to be immediately after a “sellers pack” was available, to aide any DD process, expedite the sale and generally advance any work needed prior to an offer to but being made?

It can take a significant time or it can be fast. The Custard Splat podcast compared it to buying a house. Yes most house purchases take months but if you’re buying the shell of a house that has been fire damaged that you’re going to split into flats you’re probably not worrying too much about obtaining every piece of paper and will factor that into your price.

The question is are we being sold as distressed goods?

Most of us fans are distressed…

We're potless, payday coming soon, outstanding tax, creditors beating down the door, no access to credit, stadium falling apart, accounts overdue, backroom staff unpaid, planning outstanding. There is no way this is dragging on or going unresolved until the start of next season. We're bust or we're bought..... soon surely ?
