In relation to the period of exclusivity, does that not place all power with the buyer? Ron isn't going to put himself in that position. Time is of the essence for both parties as it needs to be done quickly, so I would imagine Ron would have said to them to get on with it if they want it and if another buyer is prepared to come along and beat them to it then so be it.

More likely any bidder would want the deal done as quick as possible so they can lift the embargo, secure current players, sign new players and put their imprint on the club as early as possible in pre-season and for the season ahead.

You're right, but the burden of proof is on those that ascertain that there IS a second bidder. No proof has been provided.

The only official announcement has been that three parties were issued heads of terms.

So what proof have you that they are both out of the running?

When this process started most agreed that buying the club would not be a straightforward process and would likely take time.

As predicted it now seems the sale is not a simple transaction, and, it is taking time. A few weeks ago this was accepted by pretty much everyone.

Now although everything is going as expected SZ is in continued meltdown.

TBF I thought the optimistic end was a couple of weeks DD with both parties committed to making it happen (and probably unduly hopeful in hindsight as one of the parties is Ron) and we have just reached that point today? It’s only been a couple of weeks of DD - it’s just feels like s lot more…
