The fact is that RM is playing with fire. No news or progress announced, the cost for the DD process could exceed £500k. For an entity to spend that without any guarantee or announcement is a very gutsy punt, especially when you are dealing with a complex structure with no transparency.
If so, our embargo’s would be lifted by now, then we can offer new deal to Bridge and get our early transfer targets in 🤦🏻‍♂️

So there is Kimura and an estate agent owner from Colchester with some American backers... who is the third?
First I’ve heard about an estate agent from Colchester.

A quick google search brings up Jon Hunt who founded Foxtons.

Sounds like he is interested in property investment but can’t see any interest in football.

Sounds like someone else……

Another day and I'm sure more snippets and possible names will be mentioned on here very soon.

The whole point is to swap info and post our opinion. Who's going, who's staying, who will own the club, what specious of mushroom is in the ladies toilet......Its all gossip and hearsay. Not admissible in court of law but certainly acceptable on here

The ITK's are a very useful asset to this site. There the ones who's posts are worth reading, especially those with knowledge/or work in other professions. For those claiming they only do it for their ego, it's more a case of inferiority complex by those that add very little.

If you demand they tell all, it really just shows how naive you are. They won't and nor should they. What they should do is carry on posting and if that upsets you don't read it. If you want to target someone than look at the trolls rather than those with decent records on here.

In terms of our future we are about to hit the beach in landing craft. This is for real, the previous stuff was just one big exercise. Save your ammo because there is no guaranteed outcome yet.

Yes it's frustrating and its hot out there but we really are just a foot soldiers. So smile, have cold beer and enjoy the ride.

Im off to Edgbaston to see us beat the cheating convicts. There are other Shrimpers going as well so if your in Brum give us a PM.

No its still there on CP twitter feed in black and white for anyone who can be bother to read it.
Exclusivity granted to the Kimura group.

It was also retweeted by Matt slater on his feed.

So you have 2 respected journalist saying 3 days ago, that the Kimura group have exclusivity

I know who i believe.

I get the impression that CP and MS may have been a bit hasty in their assumptions. Maybe we all were… Kimura included.

Right now, I wonder if the Kimura boys know where they stand with Ron. I’m sure they want to press on, but for whatever reason that doesn’t appear to be happening at the rate they’d like.. if at all.

Probably best to re-cap where we're at just to keep it all clear and unambiguous:

- Kimura doing DD with exclusivity, even though there is no exclusivity really

-Kimura wouldn't undertake such a mammoth task like DD without exclusivity, but they are

- However, Kimura are the only interested party now, even though there may be another 2 or 3 parties

- 1 of the other parties that may or may not be in the running is a real estate magnate from Colchester but it isn't him anyway

- Ron is changing website /app / ticketing provider, paying for pitch and car park surface work, but he isn't

- Kimura are paying for the above, even though they may not be, but Ron might be paying for these to keep the selling price higher, but he doesn't have the funds, so he isn't

The one major take-away for me after 338 pages and over 6,700 posts is that buying a club is the same as selling as house. In which case, the process should be a breeze for Colchester's estate agent.

£500k DD on a £4m turnover entity might be a tad wide of the mark..
I wouldn't dismiss it out of hand. It's not just a £4m turnover entity, is it? It's a complicated, shady web of entangled group companies - some operating, some dormant/shell, some offshore (including the core family business). They're all interconnected and interdependent, even moreso thanks to the Fossetts development. It's a lot to untangle when the seller is whiter than white, let alone when it's Ron Martin. There's a lot to unpick, a lot of holes, and the fees for Kimura will only increase every time they're left waiting for days for a response to their request for more info and data.

An army of accountants, solicitors, and compliance and forensic specialists has been deployed and no stone is being left unturned. That won't come cheap.

For a clean business yes, for a business with the following it’s probably not wide of mark:

- footballing regulations
- a web of ownership, related companies and offshore entities
- apparent contingent liabilities and plenty of known unknowns and unknown unknowns
- a linked stadium development which is vital for the future of the business
- an intention from (at least one of the) bidders to acquire said stadium
- a link residential development with land ownership not fully under the sellers control

PS I don’t know the number, my estimate was “substantial 5-6 figure number” - so anywhere £60k to £800k. I know the firm of accountants who’d ordinarily be appointed by one bidder and let’s just say that the lower end doesn’t buy you much from them.

Yes and the point of this particular DD is that they pretty much know they will find some nasties. It's knowing what the nasties are and what it's going to take to put them right that's the issue and reflects in the final price / deal.

Would you commit to buying a house at an agreed price then get full costly surveys and solicitors/legal work done if the owner was till open to bids from others?

Kimura would be mad to spend 500k on the DD not knowing where they actually stand atm.
Any body tried to buy a house in Scotland ?🤨🤨🤨🤨
