last night i was searching constantly for updates and taking in everything people were posting and saying. This morning i feel so much hope and relief that finally we can see a light at the end of a very long tunnel. As someone who suffers from mental health, largely due to working from home (and for a compnay who doesnt pay on time) , football has always been my second love behind my family. It remains that way, but as someone who uses football, saturdays/tuesdays as a release from the daily pressures of life the past number of years have been tough. those that know me (and Ben) will know we travel home and away like so many of you and despite the shambles the club has been in have remained loyal and committed to supporting the team on the field. Im 50 (42 years a Shrimper) now, but confess that this morning reading more on here and listening to Matt Slater i actually got emotional. im not ashamed to admit that but know that there are many out there that will feel the same. of course you have to get the balance right between life and football but when it plays such an important part of your life as well as your sons, nephew and parents then its often hard to separate the two. I lost my dad in November (72 years a Shrimper) and the thought of losing him and our club in the same year would have been horrendous but for very different reasons. I hope and pray that this takeover happens and happens quickly to give Kev and Co the chance to build what they need for next season. lets face it we are only probably 4 or 5 players short of getting this right.
