Streaming - DAZN

Genuine question, is watching National League games live on IPTV legal in the UK?
It's a grey area tbh. It's illegal to provide and supply the service but not really to watch it.

With so many people using IPTV it's highly unlikely of any problems.

I have a “Smart” TV. Does that mean I can sign up to DAZN using the app? Currently I purchase streamed matches on my iPad and then cast it to the TV.

Being retired and living in Lincoln I must admit there are not many games I get to so I’m grateful for any live commentaries I can get.

So after about half hour faffing about yesterday afternoon I’m pretty sure I’ve bought a weekly pass on DAZN, money has gone out of the account anyway. On my account it says my linked devices are TV and iPhone so all seems good 👍

I’m not worried about a VPN as I’m quite happy paying a tenner to watch the “legal” games on TV and listening online with BBC Essex to all the other games 👍

Nothing is legal about IPTV 🤣
Not quite true, there are some legal IPTV streams - but in the context of watching UK National League footie during blackout periods then you'd be correct that it's breaking copyright laws to watch via IPTV streams.

I did the same as you to watch on tv and paid via iPhone £9.99 for a weekly pass. Did it via danz app on skyq.

Of course, but it's the providers and sellers that they are targeting and not the millions of users.

It's like not having a TV licence. You are hardly likely to go to jail.

I've not had a licence for years but don't have an ariel etc.

A bit off topic, but if you stream anything from the BBC, then a licence is required, even without an ariel.

Got my UK account working fine but won't be able to watch when "traveling" on that account. Can't get any accounts successfully signed up via Nord and every country errors out constantly on every page on the site.

That's disappointing, but your post was timely as I was just about to hit the 'buy' button on Nord for 12 months, so thank you.

So all working on DAZN App on Sky
Can’t pay by capturing the QR code on my iPhone as the security on my phone runs a VPN (not easy to turn off for reasons I won’t bore everyone with). So just paid on my laptop. No big deal.

I signed up and paid only to find that my browser is not suitable - never had any problem with NL tv before (or anything else for that matter) using a Chromebook. After a while on their chat they agreed to refund the £9.99. Radio commentary it is today then for me.

Which browser do you use?
