I would be interested in what PB thinks is our best 11, we have just about everyone fit and only BBBC suspended. At present I get the impression PB doesn't know where to turn for forward play, attacking moves and goals.

Tonight is the night, 1-0 win, Oxford not playing great and having won on Friday they now have a bit of breathing space. Jamar Loza to get the only goal in the second half.

Id go with Eastwood instead of Barnard, but pretty much what Id go for as well. I expect Timlin would play ahead of Laird though.

I know Hurst hasnt been in great form but he is still our biggest provider and benching him is cutting noses off to spite faces.

A post from an Oxford fans site today:

Since I heard Roots Hall was soon going to be replaced with a new stadium, I thought I'd pay it a visit before it goes.

Our recent history against this lot makes tragic reading - 10 games, 1 win and 9 defeats (one of which was a pens defeat in the JPT). CW never seemed to get the better of Southend and I'm hoping that Waddock has better luck against them.

The first sentence made me smile. I think he could come back a few more times yet!!

Anyone else feel we will once again fall foul to new manager syndrome as we have so often in the past?
